What do you guys think about a mount skill line?

It doesn't need any active skills, even if it's just got passives it will be fine.

Maybe it can level depending on distance travelled on your horse? Or something along that line.

Few idea's for passives.

War Horse - (0/4) Each point add's 1500 armour while mounted.

Covered Weakness - (0/4) Each point adds 3% crit resist when mounted.

Quick Reflect (0/2) Reduces stun time when knocked off horse by 15% per point.

Suitable Empowerment (0/3) Each point adds 15% to buff timers when mounted (e.g. Rally/surge/shields/lightning form) Lets people buff and stayed buffed while mounted so if they get ganked/ mob knocks them off they should have some buff's up)

Idea for an Ult:

Unrelenting Cavalry - Cost - 150-250 Ult

Can only be used when mounted, effects only work when mounted:

Immune to all dmg for 6s.
Gain 75% more mount speed (no stack able with speed buff ^^ )
Affects you and allies around you in 10m range with a 10s timer.
Sprinting doesn't cost stamina for the duration.

Now it only works while mounted so can't be used to escape, can be used by groups to quickly get to keeps/scrolls etc... but someone will have to waste their ult. Cap it at 12 people or if needed more.

If you accidental run into a zerg, pop this and you'll be able to escape.

Let me know what you people think, if anything seems op or such or if this is even worth it.

Just thinking of ideas to improve the game and such, Zos sell mounts in the store, you spend a lot of time on them yet the only thing you can do is upgrade it once a day. Seem like wasted potential.

The horse simulator in cyrodill may be useful xD

If you guys have any good passive idea's post them and i'll add it to the OP giving you credit of course.

No, I don't want more horse grinding. It's bad enough I have to try and log in every day to 'feed' my horse.

It's a skill line, the crown store mount are just cosmetics. It's a per character world skill tree like legderman. The passive will be the same on every mount.

Be happy we don't have a "Mounted Combat"
A gimmick so bad for a MMO it destroyed one of my favourite games. (Pick a guess which one was it)

Naah, they cannot do it like that, all would cry "pay2win" and this would make a lot of people ragequit. pay2win is for many people a vital reason to leave a game for good and never look back.

Legerdemein is quite usefull,actually. But it doesnt give you combat perks,while your suggestions do.
Problem is that you cant stay mounted while in combat,unless I am wrong.You can run away from combat on horseback,if you have maxed out the Stamina part of the training.
Sp how would you be able to get those perks if you cant fight on horseback?

you can't get on your mount while in combat so why would ANYONE use that ult lolz.
and as stated before the 180 days of "feeding"is emough pain to level up your mount.
it's easyer and faster to get vet 16 several times then get a fully trained mount

What I would want with any additional mount skills is... mounted combat. Horse archers. Cavalry charging in with sabers swinging. Heavy lanciers! Heck, perhaps even multi-person mounts like war chariots...

I think your suggestions and the overall concept could be pretty cool. I don't see why people would nay-say it. It makes as much sense as any other skill line.

This I can agree with. SIX MONTHS to get a fully upgraded horse is ridiculous. You can max that character 3 times over in that time frame but its six months to max out a HORSE.....

Good idea, I have allready done my horse feeding with almost all chararachter, but I have more idea here.
- Feeding give EXP for hourse skill line
- Other passive practice more +1/+2/+3 lesson/20 hour.
- Visual effects for the mounts if your skill line is maximized (new animation or something like that)
- Skill point problem: every mount you gain 1 skill point. But max 5 skill points (because many ppl would feel pay to win, but you can buy 5 mounts by gold at merchant)
- Mount skill line dailies that give us reward, skill point, skill line exp, and money (maybe horse riding races, and fulfillment of obstacles on horseback)

To those pooping on the idea of new skill lines despite ZOS's inability to balance existing ones:

Let the kids have their fun. No harm in fantasizing about possible skill lines that will likely never make it into the game.

All I want is the ability to poison people by means other than glyphs or bow ability. Gotta give those ravage potions some use at some point.
