Can dragonknight do good dps? I want to be tanky but also be able to kill people in PvP

I am just wondering what class to build. I cant decide on nightblade archer or dragonknight melee dps and tank?

✭✭✭✭✭It is a trade off. You can't be a super tank and super DPS at the same time. Can a DK be a tank? Yes. Can a DK DPS? Yes.
You'll have to find some middle ground. However with the min-maxers out there, hybrid builds can tough to make work in all situations.
My DK switches armor to be a decent tank in dungeon and changes again for more DPS.
For PvP I'd suggest going most points in stam and make up health with armor runes and do the rest as stam. Use a mix of reinforced and impenetrable traits (don't recall if there is a mundus stone that gives either of those) but there are trait stones. Probably. You would have to hope to live through it until help comes unless the opponent is really squishy (unlikely). And if they are squishy (NB for example) they will probably just run away if they can't kill you. I've seen some pretty hard to kill players out there.
I hate to tell ya but there really isn't much need for tanks in this game besides certain bosses in vet dungeons. I would guess you wouldnt want to be soloing on one in PvP. That said I have seen "tanky" DPS in PvP. Like I said it's a trade off and you need to find the balance that works for you and your playstyle but most min/max. Hope499✭✭✭✭Magicka DK Tank.
With Tank gear - 28k health, and over 32 k resist for both., run most content easily.
With Skoria and juilonos (without changing any stats) I hit 32k magick, 3k spell DMG and 60% crit....

This is just a cut and paste from a previous post... but the armor/jewelry/weapons might be what you're looking for.
I have a very aggressive PVE Dunmer Magicka DK Tank. Here's his setup: Attributes: 64/0/0 Mundus: Apprentice
5pc Kagrenac's Hope- Heavy armor, Divines (for the extra health, regen, magicka, and dmg)
3 Pc Willpower: (extra magicka and spell power- arcane, all spell dmg enchants)
2 Pc Valkyn Skoria: Light Armor, Divines (extra health & fire dmg) It proccs off all your DoTs and does AOE fire that synergizes with World in Flame passive.
2 Pc Torugs Pact: My DPS bar has two nirnhoned swords. My Tank bar has a Defending Mace and Divines Shield.
DPS Bar: Burning Embers, Molten Whip, Inner Light, Structured Entropy, Eruption, and Shooting Star
Tank Bar: Green Dragon Blood, Pierce Armor, Volatile Armor, Draw Essence, Igneous Shield and Corrosive Armor.
I chose the three Mage's Guild skills over DragonKnight Skills because the Mage's Guild passives help add max magicka, increase magicka regen, Procc the passive "Might of the Guild" and Entopy causes Major Sorcery (not to mention 8% extra health for tanks!)Want to enjoy the game more?
