Considering that this is a pretty big deal as far as what in the world do we do with our tens of millions of AP, I feel it warrants discussion. For those of you who missed it: Wrobel dropped the bomb on ESO Live today when he stated that the Cyrodiil vendors will NOT be brought up to V16, period.
Instead, the only way to get V16 PvP gear will be through Rewards of the Worthy.
His poorly articulated reasons included:
- "We don't want people to be able to just get the gear right away."
- "People have too much AP saved up."
As if that wasn't insulting enough, he mentioned the possibility of "looking into AP caps."
But that's all ok, right? It's not like the reason people have such obscene amounts of AP is literally because there is nothing to spend it all on. It's not like we didn't earn that AP and should thus be entitled to spend it on something
worthwhile or anything.
Cyrodiil (the PvP map) is open-world and supports up to 2000 players in it at the same time. ESO’s client is designed to be able to handle (on the recommended spec) 200 players on screen at the same time.
