What is the current state of PvP?

1.Are specific classes more dominant/considered entirely useless? (For example, early last year when I played, Sorcerers were considered nearly useless..)

2.Are specific weapon/skill-sets considered majorly un-balanced/OP (Bows/Sword & shield/Healing) etc...

Thieve's guild update is about to drop so it's hard to say. The general thought is that Stamina was dominant for quite a while but won't be getting as many buffs as magicka with next patch.

The main changes are that Magicka DK is coming back, Templars have had some rebalancing (hard to say what's happening but Stamina Templars are getting indirectly buffed), Nightblades will find it harder to maintain cloak in PVP, and Magicka Sorcs can heal with pets.

Magicka Sorcs have been dominant for quite a while, same with both builds of Nightblade. The other two classes getting re-worked to come in line.

Heavy Armor is weak at the moment.

Just left PvP 2+ raids of EP just stormed ales, horrible lag, and unkillable players because of the lag. ZOS has failed to fix most anything in Cyrodiil and has broken it more and more with each patch.

Healing from a pet, which is pretty friggen strong, but the pet is a one shot.

Magicka builds in general are on top in pts, but sorc is by far the best in a 1v1 fight. Superior burst and now that ani cancels on buffs/shields have been all but obliterated it's now even harder to keep a Sorc from turtling up.

The plus side being that you can kill aggresive sorcs who don't shield like they should a lot easier now. The bad being extreme burst introduced with the new CP system.

A big plus for others is that Shield breaker is a lot more effective now. Because you can't cancel buffs, sorcs can't secondary heal themselves anymore. I've tried it against a few great players and had it tried against me. It used to be that only bad sorcs died to shield breaker, but now it's a great set if you just can't get one down.

High crit magicka templars, much to the antithesis of the forums templars, are pretty strong in pts. I know a few who can 2 shot almost any one with a det. Dawnbreaker combo.

Lag, lag, more lag. Crashes, load screens, players whining nerf this nerf that, non responsiveness in large battles etc etc etc.

In other words same ole problems, nothing has changed.
