The devs want the new templar healer to stand in one spot for the duration of battles. Do you?

Let's see, in a game where standing still gets you killed 100% of the time, do I want to be mobile or immobile? Hmmph, tough one...

If I start to cast something and a big red circle appears under me but I cannot move due to the channel, I become a dead healer. The devs don't seem to get it!

To me, mobility is key in an action-based combat such as ESO's.

    For every class and role.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

If templars are to be the "come into my house i dare you" healers we need our shield fixed and the ability to produce effective heals while also wearing heavy armor and statting all into health (to make the shield viable). There is no way to do both well right now even at max cp.

There also needs to be a way for our team mates to not be forced into the same house while being healed.

I have a magicka and a stamina version of every class, but my main is a magicka sorcerer, luckily. I'm already mad about the templar situation, it must be awful for people who main them or who only play one character which happens to be a templar.

I prefer both to be options. If it can be worked out. I have been able to do stationary healing for a long time while wearing heavy armor.

I really think the change to rapids is yet another sign that they don't play their game. Disengaging will be nigh impossible. Couple this with the new siege changes and a group that knows what they're doing will almost never lose a keep defense. I can't see how this will be good for pvp, and it's already on its last breaths.

It is not a question of liking or not. The way they game is designed in hard pve and all pvp inmobile = useless and death.

If you base a character on being inmobile you also block that character from having a role in pvp, it is THAT simple.

Maybe we'll get some balance changes that will nerf everyone else's mobility to bring paladins up to par. I wouldn't put it past the balance team considering the extreme changes already made.
End the tedious inventory management game.
