Alternative to templar?

I am leveling a templar, but with the constant nerfing, I though I should switch my main and use him as a crafting alt instead.

My question is that I got used to using BOL as a one click heal on my main bar when solo, but seeing as rest staff can do a better job at healing now, I was wondering what other classes use as an "oh crap" button. Thanks.

Yes, dk healer will be very strong, get the armor from wrothgar and keep spamming igenous shield + gtae-healing (puryfying ritual or healing springs). You'll want to have a group which stays in 8m distance from each other, if not quit the group! Your emergency healing will only safe one player but your spot healing will be in hardcore mode, sorc and nb can heal but read the patch notes and make your own opinion! (I might be wrong).

for dedicated healer then templars are still the best ( actually got better pvewise since we got major mending on resto staffs and class skills too)
for self healing when u are solo tho get a sorc, instead of a heal u get an incredibly strong dmg shield, and with surge u get healed while the shield keeps u safe, they also get a BoL type of heal with the twilight pet's ability.
so go with sorc

Thanks guys, I will try sorc first and then DK to see which one fits me better. I am not great at being sneaky and generally just run in will all guns blazing, so NB wouldn't suit me as much.

You can go All guns blazing with NB too.

Ride it out on the templar. They'll still be good to heal. They'll NEVER nerf the resto tree because it would affect wrobels precious little princesses, the mag sorcs.

Pts sorc got a better BoL with his pet! Healing the pet and 2 others and with that ultimate you kinda got 3 bars.

Dk strong shields with major mending and I think one of the best group buffs with Igneous Weapons

So which healer is appropriate for someone who wants to constantly be moving and have long range heals?

Sorc got a healing buff with the pet changes, so that will make your choice interesting.

The dev team loves and plays all classes equally, and the abilities are like Wrobel's children.

Please people, stop spreading false information. Templars are not getting a healing buff. We are going from +30% healing while our group is in Purifying Ritual to major mending which is only +25% healing. BoL is losing a target and getting nerfed 5% healing done. With none of the other changes that a lone is a 10% nerf. The changes to the other heal (that's how bad it is, I can't recall its name), the one with the cast time are horrible as well. There are no positive changes or buffs coming to templar with TG. For Wrobel to say he see's templars as a "come into my house, I dare you" hold their ground class just shows he hasn't a clue what the class can do and what its about.

As a primary templar PvE healer I will not be coming back to ESO.

I go in guns blazing on my nightblade. (hate cloak) just use sap essence.

No they are getting buffed healingwise. A templar that only heals with BoL can still heal as effectively in group situations. The healing numbers isnt nerfed. BoL still heals same amount.
Its actually a buff since healing springs rapid regen and combat prayer will heal for 25% more now if u are a templar. The issues most people have with templar and actually arent just butthurt because they slot other stuff than bol is still lack of mobility and skills that are either too situational or generally bad
