Is having real looking samurai gear possible in eso?

Is having real looking samurai gear possible in eso? We have armor sort of... I mean clothes but not a buckler style shield they would use. Also they used bows and was very proficient in them so a now in the style we have as well please. And finally the two katanas. The great katana being the bigger curved blade not a straight blade like now and also the wakizashi. The smaller probably lesser known katana which would work great with the small buckler style shield or dual wield the two wakizashis.... Although they was not technically dual wielded irl...

The Akaviri motif is based off Samurai stylings. It's purchased page-by-page with Alliance Points by pvping in Cyrodiil. Might not be as accurate as what you're after but it's there.

To add to my above post, the Akaviri weapons are sadly not Samurai styled much to many peoples' dismay. There's a thread on it here: forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/226316/the-akaviri-swords-motif/p1

It even points out how katanas have been present in the Elder Scrolls before, so there's no reason lore-wise why you couldn't get your hands on one at some point OP . I know someone who's so annoyed about the swords not being katanas that he uses the maces out of protest haha.

Swords in redguard style look like katanas! When I crafted weapons at low levels my 2H sword would always be redguard because it looks like a katana. Just check it out yourself when you have a chance.

You must mix up redguard with something else, the redguard swords looks more like pirate sabers.

No no I know the about style is there week the heavy set and med helm are def sam looking lights more ninja-ish but still that's there the weapons aren't

The Akaviri(Blade's weapons and armor) Should have been styled after Japanese.

The Katana and Dai-Katana were always a KATANA and Dai-Katana in Elder Scrolls Games(Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim) not a sword.. they really need to fix the model...

Well adding a picture atm is a pita ... But the flaps on the heavy helmet colored correctly could definitely pass as gay bacon lol

Presumably, the Soul-Shriven style sword coming with TG looks like a Katana.

Not sure if this helps but lower tier akaviri motif looks like a katana, but only to level 24.

Yes its possible i made a thread in this forum after finishing the silver quest with an alt on the PTS and getting my hands on the soul-shriven motif the swords are katanas
