PTS Thaumaturge: Applies to all DOTs?

Am I going to get benefits from both elemental expert and thaumaturge when using puncturing strikes?

Read blabafat said post it it acting as a dot. If blabafat says it works then that's what I will do.

@Asayre If you've answered this elsewhere, I'm sorry! I assume Dark Flare is not considered a DoT and only effected by Ele Expert?

That's right, @elium85. Dark Flare is not a DoT. @decay made a quick spreadsheet showing which Templar skills are affected by Thaumathurge, Elemental Expert or both. I'll link it here

It increases Proximity detonation damages. Didn't test the rest of "dots"

Hmm so curse should work as a dot as well, can't wait till I can actually test all of these things with the SCT on console, such a nice update.

Also its odd that they do something like drop the % damage on Magicka detonation then add an extra passive that can affect it. So yeah they dropped the damage 15% or so but when there is an extra 40% in champion point lines that can increase it if you use all or points into ele expert and Thaumaturge seems like it's getting buffed more than anything (which it already was as long as there are 3 people in the radius).

And unfortunately everyone and their mother will be spamming it considering you can get it within half a day of pvping now...

You can't spam a cast time ability.... jk i know what you mean.

I am curious about Velacious Curse and how that will be boosted or not.

Im sure y'all could tell me, how about Entropy? It gets boosted right?

Since sweeps and jabs can be buffed by 2 cp stars, i think templars will be closer to being balanced in this update.

Sweeps, radiant oppression, reflective light getting 2 buffs from cp sounds awesome. Not to mention the dark flare buff.
