I never thought about it this way.

Do You Solo Cyrodiil For The Fun Of It? (Why)

    Not really.

Do You Solo Because You Seek A Challenge? (Why)

    Yeah, this is more accurate.

If None Of The Reason Above For Solo Suits You. Please Pick This And Why Do You Want To Solo In Cyrodiil?

My other reason is, I like to make my own decisions where to go, I often go afk etc. That would be a problem when in group.

I'm the only person left from my guild who still plays this game. At this point I'm down to playing for about an hour a week (feed horses on lowbies, do a crafting writ, and do 2 quick quests in the IC).
Unsubbed and no longer playing, but still checking the Alliance War forum for the lulz.

Yes, combined with the challenge. Group play is fun, however solo and small scale is like a drug. In duels and 1v1 your heart starts to beat loud enough to hear. 1v2+ requires more thought, having to be more on point, better resource management, more pressure to get these 2 people down, more highs from seeing all your damage being what's prevails, your heals being what keeps you standing, your focus pulling you through. And so on and so forth the more people you add.

I solo or small man mainly for the fun and challenge but also because I grew very tired of the guild mentality. Guilds think they own you and you owe them your precious game time, especially if you lead.

I run solo, but that just means I play by my own goals and usually don't join a group. It doesn't mean I won't join with others at a large fight, but I usually do so more informally without joining a group. I play for objects. So I will occasionally scout, ride alone, or defend a resource alone. Solo, as I define it, is about the freedom to make my own decisions.

I am an introverted and independent person. While I do enjoy playing with groups, I simply enjoy running around solo more.

I enjoy outnumbered PvP. If I create or join a group, it's small. I enjoy nothing more than drawing a group of players up into some rocks and methodically picking them off. :naughty:

I also use a highly mobile build that is designed to operate alone, and I run around on those rocks a lot. People who run with me have to keep up!

When I solo it's usually during the week; I work full-time and it's easier not to lose track of time (and subsequently lose necessary sleep) when I'm soloing. I'll group up if it's a Friday night or I can otherwise afford to be up late. :)

I solo because I hate group play. I hate group play because I am useless in groups. I do better on my own or in small special ops teams, behind the scenes if you will. I scout and the like mostly, as in actual combat I am trash (then again Most of my enemies are shield stacking sorcerers, so its hard to tell how good or bad I really am:D)

Do You Solo Because You Seek A Challenge? (Why)
I solo at the moment because I like to see what I need to work on as a player. The challenge isn't the fact that I have to take on a lot of people all at once but just being able to see what I need to work on. I plan on moving into small group play to further myself as a player. I also do it cause screw it why not.

In real, I play in duo, because for us, is the best way to having a challenging fun (without a 30 guys zerging) and having some opportunity against a 3-4 (even more) guys....

Do You Solo Cyrodiil For The Fun Of It? (Why)
I chose option 2, but option 2 and option 3 are pretty much the same to me (running solo is more fun, but one of the large reasons it is more fun is because it is more challenging). I play solo because it is much more fun than joining a group of 23 other people then ramming into another group of 24 people and seeing what happens. I also play solo because small scale fights (1v1, 1v2, 2v1, 2v2, etc.) are a lot more fun than big fights. It is easy to feel powerful when you're bathing in the 20 buffs that you get when running in a large group, but it doesn't feel particularly challenging. I also like playing solo because I like being able to do what I want, not what my group wants me to do.

Do You Solo Because You Seek A Challenge? (Why)
1 - 3 for me. I solo mainly because I get more enjoyment if I kill 3+ people by myself rather than having a zerg mow them down. Being in a zerg is just boring to me. Its like farming for xp in pve. Oh, and the lag is annoying AF too, I try my best to head in the opposite direction of groups.

Solo is the only real test to your abilities as a player. I love it, I love the challenge, love the frustration, love the rewarding feeling when doing well and knowing it was just me, myself and I who made it possible.

Solo on nb doesn`t count, it`s as ballshrinking as running with the next best zerg.

Do You Solo Cyrodiil For The Fun Of It? (Why)
I don't like following a large group. If I am ever seen in a large group, it would be if I am on the outskirts attempting to 1vX reinforcements or if the group is heading in the general direction I am going until we split (I always head to Alessia Bridge).

I almost feel like pitching in on large battles in any way may contribute to lag, but truly why I solo is because it's fun and provides a real challenge. Similar to soloing Normal/Vet dungeons, and sort of Maelstrom Arena.

One fun trick (with my new magicka nightblade) is to find a huge battle at a keep between the two enemy factions, AD and EP. Execute people on the faction that are seiging the keep who get cocky aka purposely standing in seige AoE/staying low on health due to superior numbers. Also, slowly angering a couple players at a time to follow you away from the battle and slaughtering them usually works. Solo = fun if not laggy

I solo because it is fun and I enjoy the challenge, but the biggest reason why I solo is because I absolutely hate teamspeak, and the majority of groups are TS only. All it is, is people talking crap and obvious instructions that I don't need repeated to me everyday.

    Example:

    "Guys, get in TS"
    *jumps into TS*
*People talking about stupid useless s#*!*
    *loud and annoying noises*
    "Now everyone, stack on crown"
    *more stupid sh$#*
"Okay everyone, remember to do the stupidly obvious thing that anyone who has been playing PVP for a couple weeks should already know (eg. use siege when sieging, stay together, don't over extend yourself, don't feed enemies AP, when wall is down go up on the left/right, counter siege when being sieged, etc.)"
    *Chewing noises*
*Leader proceeds to give a bunch of orders and commands that are either useless or common knowledge and didn't need being said*
*someones GF/wife or mum/brother/sister/etc. saying some crap to them*

Basically, I don't like small talk, especially with strangers, and when I am playing a game, I want to play the game, not hear someone's life story.

    1. lag is insane
    2. combat is way to uncontrolled and fast
    3. its all no brainer zergs - push bottons til lst man standing
    4. the pvp system is overall boring and the areas out there has nothing to offer
    5. ... yea i know there is a few guys out there that can / and take out x players them self. But comperet to the rest of us i belive that the system is uncontrolled and no fun, when it comes down to it.

Lol, sounds like a low skill pug group with the leader getting peeps on TS, where people have to be give obvious commands, join a proper PvP guild, make some friends, and be on TS, a organised team will pretty much always wipe a unorganied unit, and in small scale PvP too.

I do play a lot of solo too and love the challenge and finding duels etc.

And hearing someones life story you do not know is annoying but that is the problem with TS Pug groups, and you do not like small talk?
