Take away the delete limit on Consoles.

It is absolutely stupid and pointless to have a delete limit on consoles. If people are cheating gold on PC, or doing whatever, then keep that over on their side. Why should I, or anyone else that often finds themselves deleting characters for whatever reason (Hates character look, name, class, race, faction, etc) or in my case, testing different races on different classes (Because i'm too poor to afford to play as an Imperial) have to suffer?

It's already bad enough that I have to go through the troubles of testing a bunch of builds. Now I have to worry about an unnecessary *** block for something I can't even do? LAME.

You do realise that the limit is on a timer and that it restores over time and you can delete more characters again right?

Well, they could release less restrictions on consoles, maybe like six delete, but I do think they might be able to bot them, as well then it would be a problem when they release text chat for the consoles.
On pc bots do not benefit much so no bot spam in zone chat the bots are dead have not seen a single bot spam post after they all died, out because of the delete limit. Which has greatly made eso probably one of the best mostly bot free mmos out there. Without it the bots would come back for sure.

Well, the reason why they did this was to prevent the bot problem and kill the problem completely now til they add text chat to consoles maybe lesson up the restrictions for them, but make it six delete, per day I am in favor the delete limit because of the bot problems that were having means of unlimited gold farming, because of the unlimited deletes they relied heavy on this.

@Murduhrah - there are bigger issues in the game then you who is indecisive about a build or character you want to make...
maybe you should just sit back and think a bit about your character when you create them and not just jump in and create something because there is a slot available...

Seriously this has NEVER been an issue and will never be an issue to 99.9% of the player base...

Rather rant about more slots to create more characters than only being able to delete 3....

why do people want to get something just for themselfs? jesus this is why PC masta race thrives. if console players get a reduced timer so should PC. no reason to give console or pc something the other doesn't have.

it's easier to program something on pc to bot. but if you hack your xbox one like many people did with the xbox and the 360 you could also get software on your xbox one that get you to bot. so your agruement isn't really valid. let's just have both things we befefits us rather then make differences that drifts it apart

My argument is valid, you can't bot on the Xbox One. You won't find not one video on YouTube, Dailymotion, or any other website that shows any type of mod/bot/hack on this console. It can't be done.

you can only delete 3 characters and there is a timer for when the next delete can happen.... deal with it.. take more time THINKING when creating new characters..

your point isn't valid. do i agree it's easier to make programs botting on PC hell yes. are you 100% sure it can't be done on console? hackers are quite resourcefull and it's no wonder why large company's often have hackers in service to check into flaws of their systems. and we all know company's don't liek to spend money on things they don't need

Secondly, gold spamming is a heavily industrialized process. If it was possible to bot farm in the game currently, they'd be doing it. Bans mean nothing to gold spammers who make $100/hour.
Thirdly, every console has been hacked, modded, and botted. If it hasn't happened yet, it's inevitable.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but until proven otherwise, I don't see the point of having the restriction.

The reason is, as stated above, to stop gold farming / selling and botting. Not to mention if you get hacked not all your toons can be deleted right out (unless you have only three I suppose).
You may not like it but claiming there's no point is just wrong because there clearly is, just not one you agree with.

I don't see why the limit should be lifted on consoles and not on PC irrespective of whether you can or can't do something on either platform. It is what it is.

It is amusing how, for months we've endured "PC has text chat, consoles don't" complaints... and now we have someone who wants to give the consoles something and not the PC simply because they don't want to bother putting any thought into their builds before creating them. I tend to spend at least an hour in the customization screen every time I create a new character, I can't imagine why anyone would need to use up three deletes in less than 24/hours... especially since there are eight character slots.

Your argument is completely invalid. You don't even need to bot in order to exploit if you've got unlimited deletes - it's just easier if you do. As you don't seem to understand the problem, here's how it works:

1. create random character
2. skip tutorial
3. port to friend on friends list in Riften (there are other places where this is viable too, but Riften was the city of choice back before they added the delete limit)
4. do simple, quick non-combat fetch-quest with rewards scaled to level 38 or so
5. bank gold
6. delete character
7. go back to step 1

This takes very little time and is easily exploitable even without botting. It's ideal for gold sellers (and just general exploiters looking to quickly make a bunch of gold with no effort).

don't compare us with that guy. i'm on xbox one and i've stated it's complete bs he wants something on console PC-users dont have.

At the very least, give subscribers more deletes or unlimited deletes. I'm totally fine with non subbers have delete limit.

Theres plenty of other free to play and buy to play MMO's out that are popular, have no delete limits and little to no bot problems like ESO had at launch.

And of course, the big problem with people asking for the delete limit to be removed is that there is no legitimate reason to want more deletes that wouldn't be better addressed with a different solution.

Don't like the way your character ended up looking, and it's taking you lots of tries to get it right? The solution isn't to remove the delete limit, it's to have a way to modify your appearance after character creation.

You picked the wrong class/race, and need to change it but you've run out of deletes? Again the solution isn't to remove the delete limit, it's to have a way to modify your selections after character creation.

Ideally you'd be able to freely change your appearance, your class, and your race as many times as you want up to level 6 or so, or possibly within a certain time period of character creation, and if you want to make changes after that it would cost you.

On console I think it's more about creating harassment alts than botting.
You know, somebody hiding themselves, getting on voice, screaming "DEATH TO THE WEST" or "*** THE COPS" or "[insert misogynist monologue here]" for an hour and then deleting.

Delete limits cut down on trolling and real threats alike.

Also, for the more sensible people, 24 hours is plenty of time to ignore and character and then decide if you really want to delete it. Cuts down on hasty judgment.
