I skimmed over the patch notes and am feeling blind. I found a thread earlier mentioning vigor will now be much easier to get for non pvp players.

Why is this? I don't like pvp at all but really want vigor

I missed it when going through the patch notes too, but sure enough the AP/rank has been reduced. Good news for people like me who don't do much PVP. I just finally got access to War Horn on my VR16 Templar lol. This will help me get to Caltrops...

I personally like it. Vigor is great for stam, but for magicka users we gotta wait all the way till 9 to get what we wanna use.

I like it, after a month dedicated to PvP i only got to level 5 and a half.

Have you been to PTS with your character (or are you on EU?)? Because my NB was is rank 6 on Live and rank 10 on PTS, so if you already had War Horn you may be fairly close to Caltrops on PTS (if they leave the XP curve as is.)

Yeah, I'm just barely below Assault/Support 5 on PTS. So if I do a relatively small amount of PVP on live between now and when this update hits, and if they don't change their minds on the degree of changes, I'll probably get access to Caltrops right when I log in after the update.

Oh when did they copy the chars? NA or EU most recently? SInce I play both mine will overwrite one another...

Aye, I think in the end it turns out to be a 60-90% decrease or something. Pretty significant. The amount of AP you earn from kills (in smaller groups) is also increased, and the AP you receive from repairing walls has been doubled (it's now the same you get from repairing doors on live).
Basically, it won't take you long at all to get Vigor.
