I had a quest to go into Grahtwood to pick a lockbox. I did that and it said to go back to the guild for a small reward. When I opened my journal again before paying to go back, the quest reset and is now a new quest to pick pocket 10 things. This has happened on two characters. Is this how it is suppose to work or is something wack? I never went back to turn in the original quest. I reset to a new one on it's own.

Okay I had a quest to pick pocket 10 NPC's. I did five and logged out to look at another character. When I logged back in the quest has now changed to open a lockbox in another zone. This can't be how this is suppose to work. I didn't finish the other quest.

And it just changed again to a zone that is not offering a wayshrine for me to travel to. :(@ZOS_GinaBruno, is this working as intended? Before if it sent me somewhere I have never been it gave me a wayshrine and now I don't have one in the zone it says I need to travel to. I just don't understand how the quest just keeps changing on it's own. Help :)

The zone issue seems to be since it battle levels us, the game assumes we can access these zones when we haven't been there yet. So far all the zones but one have given me a wayshrine so I can enter and do the quest but now I am not getting wayshrines in new zones. Malabal Tor is the zone that won't offer a shrine for my character that is only in Grahtwood.

The quest has 3 levels (at least I am aware of 3, it is possible there could be more):

1st zone objective can be turned in for a small reward
1st + 2nd zone objective can be turned in for a moderate reward
1st + 2nd + 3rd zone objective can be turned in for a large reward.

So you will get something along the lines of "pickpocket 10 items in Grahtwood" (which is the small reward), then it will update to "pickpocket 10 items in Greenshade" (which is for the moderate reward), then "pickpocket 10 items in Malabal Tor (which is for the large reward).

You can turn in the quest at any point after completing the first stage, but for the biggest reward you should complete all 3 zone stages before attempting to turn in the quest.

I hope I've managed to explain it reasonably well :) It is not explained at all in game.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case as in do all of them, then turn the quests in.

I do think there are some bugs because there have been several I didn't complete and the quest changed on it's own to the next zone/level. I am also stuck as Malabal Tor isn't showing a wayshrine so I can get there. I haven't been there before.

Certainly for the pickpocketing ones, there are either/or objectives - the quest will update if you complete 1 of the objectives, you don't have to complete both. I found that very confusing at first, as there are so many 'objective' texts scrolling up the screen if you are pickpocketing people in quick succession that it is hard to keep track of what is going on. So the quest may well complete before you have completed both objectives, because you don't have to complete them both.

In terms of Malabal Tor, you can walk there from Greenshade - there is a gate at the north end of the Greenshade map. Or you can get a port from a friend or guildmate (whilst there may not be many on the PTS, this is less of a problem in live). The fact that you have not been there yet is not actually preventing you from going there to do the quest (just that you have to walk there as there is no wayshrine marked yet), so isn't a bug.

Thanks. Yeah it may be completing and I am just not catching it with all the text flow. Ah yes I can walk there. Wasn't even thinking about that. Trying to log errors and crashes and forgot the simple answers to my issues. Thanks again. :)

No problem, if you have trouble getting through Velyn Harbour (the first town in Malabal which may have some hostiles if you've not done the quest there) then send me a friend invite on the PTS - same user name as here - and I can help you port to a more peaceful location in the zone :)
