Any thoughts on the "other" Maelstrom sets?

I have finally solved my L2P issues with Maelstrom arena, and after three successful runs I am already being overwhelmed by all the other sets. Yesterday for instance I got three bracers of the hunt from three successive stages.
Does anyone have in mind a build which makes good and effective use of any of the sets that drop there?
I start sharing with my thoughts on the succession set. I would say that only DKs and sorcerers might consider using it, as templars and NBs mostly do magic and not elemental damage. On a long fight, one third of the 5 piece bonus applies on average (actually I would say even less). This bonus plus the other spell damage bonus is less than Julianos' 5 piece bonus (or very close, I don't know the exact values). So succession vs Julianos would essentially be 1 Max Magicka bonus vs 2 spell critical bonus, hence Julianos wins. Missing something?

elium85✭✭✭Yeah, those sets aren't that good. Perma could be an interesting self-sustain Magicka tank set but that's about it other then the weapons!0 -

I think the Maelstrom sets are great BECAUSE they have jewelry. This allows you to wear two 5-piece sets AND possibly a monster set if you are dual wielding or using sword and board. They allow you to break away from the boring Willpower/Agility sets.
This is especially great if you are a Mage DPS and get jewelry for the Succession or Winterborn sets. For tanks, the fact that Glory and Permafrost have jewelry is just awesome!
These sets are the only reason I have done Maelstrom so many times.N64 NA EP2 -

✭✭✭✭✭I don't think any of the Maelstrom sets are compelling. The jewelry is not a big deal to me since willpower/agility are so strong.
A 5 piece bonus has to be *very* strong to top an always-on spell/weapon buff and there are very few sets in ESO that meet that standard IMHO.Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.2
