Well, start off at a 5% discount. After six months, have it go to 10%. After a year, have it go to 15%. If you stop your sub and then resub, you are reset back to 5%. Loyalty reward + discount program.

    That's an awesome idea.
It was bound to happen eventually.

What I would not subscribe for is an inventory space I get locked out of once I un-sub... Your suggestion is a good possibility but then couldn't a player with a ton of mats just subscribe for one month, dump all their items, and then unsubscribe? That wouldn't really be earning ZOS money... just $15.

Youd lose a significant QoL feature. Without a sub you might as well leave those mats on an alt as you would have to go to the bank NPC and retrieve the mats manually every time you wanted to do crafting. What's left of the stack you picked up wouldnt go back into the bag either.

It's those kind of mechanics that make me say it's like they're holding your inventory hostage.

Of course all of this is pure conjecture until we learn more.

10 % discount idea is bad in my opinion. If you're subscriber you get 1500 crown each month which is nice. No need to give players even more crown. BUT! subscribers are quite underestimate and need more love (ZOS can give us unique, small items to collect for example). I remember loyality program with unique pets, which was great idea becouse I can't take break in subscribing (good trick ZOS :P ).

well normally i would agree but with the crown sales the price you pay for the crowns is more then if a non-sub would. and the 10% exp increase isn't really worth paying for to be honest

Theyre not taking away your stuff. Theyre only removing the convenient way of accessing it.

If it had a 10% discount I guarantee there would be players who would subscribe JUST for that discount. 2000 Crowns for the new special shiny? Nope! 1800! and boy is that a deal!

10% would not influence my decisions that much.

    So - abouuuut 10%? xD

10% would be nice, but only if they continue with the talked about but never committed to crafting bag.

One of the many suggestions made about a year ago here: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/150450/eso-subscription-benefits-suggestions/p1

I completely agree with this. I'm not a current subscriber, but if there was a Crown Store discount, I would seriously consider subscribing.

Technically if you were smart and bought a bunch of crowns when they had the sales then you are getting a 50% discount on what you buy with said crowns :pensive:

    But yeah, I totally agree!

heh... yea. I bought two 5500 crown packs. I wasn't willing to buy more than that at that time as I'm still in the "unsure if I'm going to be playing ESO for much longer" phase that I've been in for a while.

An ESO+ discount would just make that deal so much better!

Check out the link in the OP @dem0n1k ... I suggest other ESO+ benefits there... including "ownership" of the DLC over time.

I really like the idea of owning a DLC over time, as long as you keep loyal to the subscription and don't pay it off in parts here and there.

In the link I suggest that they use a time to dollars ratio but with the prices being considerably less than I personally anticipated ZOS could go a different route.

Let's say they started counting July 2014. Every 3 months would earn you the ownership of a DLC.... so at this point you would "own Imperial City and Wrothgar. If you started your sub today, you would own Imperial City at the end of April, Wrothgar at the end of July. They could give you a DLC token for every 3 months of subscription that is redeemable for one DLC.

If they did the ESO+ 10% Discount and the DLC token every 3 months I would subscribe and probably never unsubscribe.
