Ok you guys had your fun, jumping poor relatively weak player in the sewers while trying to fight mobs, shameful really, the sewers is a great place to fight but the PvP ganks need to stop, you feel the need to act like gods I know but people are leaving the game because of this foolishness. You have all the rest of Cyrodiil to play your "I am God" games, go there.

    They should just remove PvE from the sewers. Make it it one long tunnel of Hide n Seek, and the ability to exit the base entrances at either side to short cut the Cyrodiil map.

    All that PvE stuff, Alliance base, WGT entrance, the end of the quest line, could be added to the City proper as a purely PvE zone.

    There is considerable merit to this idea particularly on a full and active campaign. I can see where it could help revitalize a Cyrodiil badly in need of new tactical options.

    This is actually not a bad idea, but i'd still leave some optional bosses in there.

    @OP

    the zone is pvp and pve, was said to be so before anyone bought it and before it was even done. To now get mad cause pvp is going on in there is crazy. As i said before the only reason you are having problems is due to the balance of this game, you got people with max champ points in there on NBs just 3-4 shotting everyone then back in stealth rebuff next!

    @ZOS

    The way the games pvp works and the way the classes are balanced, no wonder people complain about pvp in IC. ZOS you gave people that have nothing else to do in life the ability to grind out champion points and be as strong as a world boss compared to an average player that just wants to play the game.

    A whole team of people sat there in your offices and agreed this was a good idea?

    You have the best pvp mmo to date in Dark Age of Camelot, as like the base idea to follow when it comes to pvp in this game, and this is what you guys came up with to replace realm ranks and such?

    Seriously?

    The sewers and the city itself should either be treated separately to the alliance war (not having 100 people blocking space to get into Cyrodiil) or it should have implications on the alliance war.

    The most obvious option for giving it some clout towards the campaign could be a capture the flag type system where each section of the sewers or city is captured by a alliance. You gain points for each area held like you do for capturing keeps.

    At the moment I have found that the sewers or the arena is full of people from EP whilst Cyrodiil 'main land' is suffering from a lack of people being able to get in to the campaign to help defend/capture keeps.

    It's because they didn't do it right. There's a reason people still talk about "Darkness Falls" in Dark Age of Camelot being awesome. The community here seems to not grasp that IC needs to be tied to Cyrodiil performance for it to be good. You need to be able to change who hass access to it to block off entry to the other sides based on either emperorship or map control. This allows fun things like hunting down the guy that ganked you knowing he can't get back in for a bit, and the guy being hunted able to have the thrill of still taking people out knowing that risk of being booted for a bit if he dies is there.

    Theres people from DAoC behind ESO, and somehow they drop the ball on probably the best aspect of DAoC?

    How @ZOS how???

    EDIT: You know how much fun it was opening up Darkness Falls by taking keeps and stuff to rush in there and take out all of the other side only to have the third faction in DAoC open it up for themselves and come in and kill the other 2 factions that were already fighting amongst each other?

    Why is IC open to all 3 sides at all times? Why does it say on the map "Currently open to all alliances"??? cause they were going to do exactly what I typed above but didn't for some reason.

    Have times where its open to all 3 sides, but tie the majority of the time to who owns the most in cyrodiil, add some cool monster helmets and other items that you can ONLY get in IC and you will see competitive fun pvp in IC.

    Trust me.

    Ummm... Imperial City was billed/marketed/sold as a PvP/PvE mix from the day it was announced.

    That said; I'm a pure PvE player. I don't PvP, but I go into Cyrodiil/Imperial City. There's PvE Quests there that I'm currently working to complete. But before I ever set a single digital foot into the City, I knew and understood that there is active PvP going on in every district and in the Sewers.

    -Ganks are a risk I face.
    -Single players waiting in stealth by an objective is a risk I face.
    -Coming around a corner and running into the middle of a group of enemy Alliance members is a risk I face.

    And I accept all of that.

    Why? Because it is in the PvP segregated area of the game. If I want to PvE and not ever worry about PvP, I don't go into Cyrodiil. But I want the PvE Quests and Skyshards that are in Cyrodiil.

    So I pull up my big-boy-Dunmer pants, and I take the risk. I figured that would be understood, especially since we're running around in the PvP area of the game.

    TL;DR: The Imperial City is a PvP/PvE area smack in the middle of the segregated PvP area of the game. If you're going to go in there, you must also accept the risk that PvP players are going to kill you or ruin your day, OP.

    So, No; PvP should not be removed from the Sewers just because it's ruining your PvE time when you're in the PvP area.
