I spend way more than 300 of the currency of the country I lived in on eso. Which basicly just means I had a subscription for at least 3 months since beta

Might want to add a currency, but I am going to go ahead and guess it's Amercan Dollars, because only an American wouldn't think of that. Atleast that would fit my prejudice.

First you must specify a currency
Then you must specify that all costs must be counted in (since, obviously, it's not obvious for some people...) : subs, crown purchases... but PS+ or XBox monthly if applicable should not... (people who subscribe to these services only for the sake of ESO might include them here).
And finally people must divide that by the number of months they've been playing. (Even "since beta" can mean totally different things depending on people playing on console or on PC/Mac).
Only then you'll produce some sort of meaningful data. Yes, data analysis requires at least a bit of rigor.

But... oh wait... even 15*12 is too much work for some people... ?

It is much cheaper for me to play only one game (ESO) and not buy any other game. All I spent money one is crowns (bought when they 50 % off!)

sub money. before when it was neccesary to sub to play...now im mostsly unsubbed.. i did orsinium and IC so imdone with it until thieves guild


also compared to other games its nothing...cuz with crown's i got from being a sub i bought 4-5 costume packs, few mounts, and 2 pets... and since im a patient guy..i can just spend 2 months saving crowns and buy something i want withoout spending money for adistional crowns.

I think Im at 360. I had so much fun in IC, I'd pay that again just because of it. Console launch as PC-transferer was quite blast too, pre-scaling, you wouldnt believe what kind of stunts I did.

Pocket money crowns are useful enough.
If or when (veiled threat?) I stop my sub I would probably only buy Orsinium though.
Not having to purchase every DLC in order to play them is good, free trial to a degree.

forgot to add that I don't play any other games, haven't since launch. The wife lets me away with this blatant waste of money (in her opinion) I'd not risk bothering to buy or sub to another.

ESO annoys the whatever out of me but It's still an awesome game.

Game + sub. It's cheap entertainment. At what my cable bill used to be, I'd need to have watched 14hr/day to get the cost per hr down to ESO's (I canceled cable). The cost per hr is less than most other games I've bought (and didn't play nearly as much) - except maybe my son's "hobby", minecraft. I don't really play any f2p games.

It was really easy for me to add up how much I've spent, it's £73.07

£14.69 for the base game (and explorers pack)
£20 for the Imperial upgrade
£23.99 and £14.39 for 2 5500 crown packs (one during the sale)

And I still have a few thousand crowns left so it's going to be a while before I spend anything more.

(I also assumed that since the OP didn't bother to specify a currency that means the poll is most likely in US dollars, and at the current conversion rate that comes out at just over 100 dollars, but I picked the 50-100 option because I think that's more accurate.)

You're in for a shock if you ever go on holiday in a foreign country. Especially if you are American and you ever come to Europe.

My total is £504.32 since launch and that's for me. My partner probably has spent the same amount.

Probably works out less than 20 pence an hour in terms of cost, very worth it.

Only if you think all of us live in the US, the eurozone or at worst, the UK, Canada or Australia. As it happens, the world is slightly bigger than that.

1 USD equals roughly 4 Brazilian reals, 8.5 Swedish kronor or 80 Russian rubles. Just to give you a few examples why leaving it open might not have been the best idea.

I bought pre-order edition about a month after release for $40. Spent $25 for 3,000 crowns twice to buy the DLC individually. Im sitting at $90 spent total on a character I've spent 1,200 hours on. I have a sad little brown horse but he has 60/60/60 stats naturally bought over 6 months.
Im pleased with the way I squeeze pleasure from this game as inexpensively as possible.
