I've created new char on EU server to test pvp lag there. My new char is sorc level 10 problem is ;

Conjured Ward unlocked at Daedric Summoning rank 42
Bolt Escape unlocked at Storm Calling rank 42

vs

Critical Charge unlocked at Two Handed rank 4
Teleport Strike unlocked at Assasination rank 4
Focused Charge unlocked at Aedric Spear rank 20
Shield Charge unlocked at One Hand and Shield rank 20

@ZOS i ask you, how come a low level sorc can survive in PVP with these skill unlock ranks ?

LEARN TO BALANCE...

You have to play more strategically ...you can do serious ranged DPS already with your insta-frag skill. Play more defensively and you will survive.

What is the answer? Have Conjured Ward unlock @ rank 4 & Crystal fragments @ rank 42? Have Bolt Escape @ rank 4 & Mage Wrath @ rank 42? :)

no obvious answer is other classes and weapons should get their gap closer at higher ranks like 42

I would love to see your strategic gameplay while using light armor without any shield or escape abilitiy while everyone spamming their gap closer on you non stop...

Everybody wants 'balance™' in a game, until it's actually achieved.

Then people realise, the game has turned into a homogeneous, boring snooze fest. Where every class has the exact same abilites with different visual fx.

Obviously I'm not promoting blatant imbalances. But this eternal striving for perfect game balancing (everyone has same stuff, etc) ruins games, imo.

As I said play more strategically....if you became a gap closing target then you've already screwed it somewhere in your strategic decisions.
And here are some hints: Stay behind the front line ...stay at range...use natural obstacles to protect yourself from gap closing. Stay on the keep walls or on the towers when possible ..be as unnoticeable as you can - change your positioning often etc.

The unbalance you are talking about starts when sorcs has those abilities you've mentioned.
It is very unbalanced to see a sorc fighting openly a group of players...spamming shield stacking and curse+insta-frag combo...and when the group becomes to big to face it then the sorc just blinks away...that's unbalanced.

The gap closing mini-stun bug will be fixed in the future...if that bug is bothering you then just be patient and hope for the best solution.

That's fine, but it's not bk you can't have you're way just because you don't like something doesn't mean devs should dedicate what would hundreds if not thousands of hours on something that's really a non issue in the longterm. Every class has its advantages and disadvantages people need to live with most of them.

That is true, but if you are speaking about when "everyone is spamming their gap closer" templars cannot escape easily, even at vet16! They must find other ways to survive, and healing doesn't help much in this kind of situation, so I don't think waiting a few levels for bolt escape and a huge damage shield is really much of a problem in the scheme of things... And I have vet16 sorcerer and vet16 templar, so I am fully aware of how much easier sorcerers have it when it comes to escaping an awkward situation

Agreed. You'll have Lightning Ward, and later Bound Armor. Resto is a common back bar for Sorc to just heal through it. The damage in non-Vet is even lower than Vet, so use the other options, or just wait a bit in PVP if you don't think you can find a way to survive against gap closers.

I keep saying, you guys want perfectly balanced pvp lose all armour class skills and weapons, be given a stick on entering Cyrodil and just have normal attack and block. Tadah! Perfectly balanced pvp! Would you all be happy with this? As a side bonus this would mean no more whining causing nerfs that wreck the pve game.

This true. When a game achieves balance it becomes boring. My idea is to add more choices and counter choices this way there should be a counter for everything so not one thing is too powerful.

1v1?.....Looks like you need more PVP experience if you die because of gap closing spam in 1v1 fights. Just be patient you'll become stronger in time...you'll figure out that there are good combos without using blink and shields.

And I'm on topic, my advise is as good for low level pvp as is for high level ones....those two abilities won't make you a winner there are so much more factors that should be taken into consideration.

And yes level 10 is in a great disadvantage skills wise, gear wise, passive abilities wise, champion points wise an other factors wise.
This is an mmorpg..the whole idea of an mmorpg is that you become stronger more you play.

I found encase really helpful in non-vet to keep wrecking blowers at bay. You should be able to pick up healing ward relatively fast as well (lvl 20 resto I think). At lvl 14 resto you can get blessing of protection which isn't a bad heal just to get you by.
There's definitely options, but just don't expect to use the same strategy as an end game sorcerer.
