You don't need to play for 20 hours to feed again. Also, horses are much better now than they were at launch.

I don't log on every day to upgrade my mount, I log on to play fun combat.
*I don't log on every day anyways, thus the 50 days per skill line is probably more like 100 days.
They have stables in Cyrodill, takes like 30 secs of your time… and it's 60 per skill so more like 120 days.
60x3 = 180

Apart from that its annoying but fine, they give you instant access to a 40% movement speed skill when you hit lvl 10?
Stop wanting the game to be handed to you OP.

I don't know what you are smoking, but it costs $0 to fully upgrade your riding skills. 250 gold each day, or 45000 gold total, no real money at all. Of course that takes 180 days.
You want it faster, oh the shock. That costs money. Guess what? That's how a BTP game should work. A balance of time versus $$. You want it faster, you pay. Otherwise you can have it slower.
You want that Imperial Motif? Grind dressers (and the like) and hope to get luck (time) or fork over some cash. Or pay $50k in a guild store.
You don't have to pay ANY money to play this game after you've bought it. You can get anything in game, just don't expect it tomorrow for nothing.
Actually this is one thing I've read from the OP today that I actually agree with. Horse upgrades are ridiculous atm. They may have been worse before but they are still ridiculous now.
There are no in game ways to even reduce the time similar to crafting. Just store, not even ESO plus, just store, buy it or lump it... The prices are equally ridiculous when combined and compared to other things in the store. Said it before and I'll say it again, imho this should be re-evaluated, its not good.
Band Camp statements: To state "But this one time I saw X doing X... so that justifies X" Refers to the Band camp statement.

I've read enough of this thread.
Firstly - You're bad at math. 180 upgrades spaced 20 hours apart (if timed exactly) = 3600 hours.
Secondly - It's timed so you can realistically upgrade once a day. So it's 180 days \ 6 months if you login every day
Thirdly - ZoS tries to have you make choices. You can max out 1 specialty on the horse (carry, speed, or stamina) in 60 days \ 2 months. This is how horses worked before ESO 2.0. You could level your horse up to 50 and specialize in ONE of those attributes only (or evenly suck at all of them).
Fourthly - Your horse matters so little in this game you don't need to upgrade it at all (the 60 extra inventory slots is helpful though).
Fifthly - If you really need your horse upgraded that desperately, I think $180.00 is more than fair. I'm glad the people who play for 10+ hours a day have to wait for something or pay for it.
