I would love to see a small scale pvp game variants implemented. Something along the lines of 10v10 - 25v25, or even some games of 10v10v10 - 25v25v25. Siege style is great fun and very enjoyable, but I feel it doesn't satisfy my craving for some juicy duels between classes. (I'm not saying that AvAvA can't result in small scale PvP battles, but it seems less likely to happen.) In my experience AvAvA, is more about wipe the opposing group at battle fronts. My typical reaction is to hit the player with the least amount of HP until they are dead, back to full HP or running away. It seems the strategy lies within the taking of a fort or holding off the enemy attack, making it feel like the more players you have the better your team will do. With that being said, I still really enjoy AvAvA. I would love to see more strategy when it comes to playing your class against another players class. I'm sure I am not the first to suggest this, but please bare with me.
10v10 - 25v25 Object based game types. (for lack of a better word "Battlegrounds") These game types would give players a chance to practice playing their class, learning how to survive on their own and using synergy with fellow teammates in pvp settings. (synergy being a thing Dev team emphasized on before launch) These game types could be as simple as CTF (Capture the Flag) perhaps a capture the enemy teams battleplans. The winning teams players could this could be rewarded with Alliance points, possible gear, material, or recipe drops. As wells a a 1 hour buff in AvAvA that increases your siege weapon damage by 10%. For a 10v10v10 game, there could be 6 bases each faction starts with 1, leaving 3 neutral. Holding the most bases gives that team more points per second. First team to 5000 points wins. Another game type containing all three factions could be an Oddball style game. In the center of a map is Ball, Crown or what ever item of importance. Can 1 faction hold off 20 other players long enough to win (or maybe 50 other players if its 25v25v25) This game could also end at 5000. These are just a few ideas that come to mind, I would love to see what other members of the community and the Development team can come up with. Criticism is welcome.
Here are some ideas for rewards. New quest givers/ quartermasters could be placed in the major cities. The quest requires the player to preform in the Alliance War and in the battlegrounds. An example of the quest a player would need to complete could be something like (Defeat 100 enemy players in the Alliance war and win 1 match in any battleground) The player then turns in their quest for 500 "Victory Points", which can then be spent at the quarter master for new motifs, new enchants, pets, special siege equipment, a surplus of Alliance Points or special crafting reagents that are used for new set items.
I think that this would significantly add to the replay ability and longevity of The Elder Scrolls Online
Please vote this as you wish and leave some feed back! At the very least hopefully this sparks new ideas for upcoming patches/DLC
