Matt Firor stated that they're not raising the cap because not enough people have reached it. This is a poor approach because whether it be now or a month from now; a lot of people are going to feel like they're not going to progress until around halfway through the year.
A better approach would be to scale up the CP cap according to the average, and by average I mean the mean average obtained while ignoring outliers (CP<30 or CP>601). For example: say the average before the cap was 313, and that average was multiplied by 1.6 in order to obtain the current cap of 501. What we need to do is to take the average before each new DLC and multiply it by 1.6 (if that is how they obtained the original cap), and round that number up to the nearest multiple of 3. So for example, if the new average is 400 then the new cap should be 642. This would be a better approach than the one that is currently being suggested.
