Hi All,

As promised we are running a second EU GVG event. This time its Battlegrounds!
Game Modes and Rules to follow.

Event information:
Date: Saturday 23rd January
Time: 6pm UK (GMT) | 9pm MOSCOW | 7+ EU |

Please sign up here to be added to the roster below.

This will be a 12v12 match.

General Rules:

a) No Resurection
b) No Siege Usage other than the single treb
c) No siege Repair kits
d) No 'CTRL' key sneaking during the fight.
e) You must stay within the fighting area during the match

You are allowed to use invis potions and Nightblade cloak should you wish to.

MODE 1: Base Attack:

At the start of the match both sides will place their 1 Treb (will be camps when they come back) this will act as their 'base'. It is up to each side to defend their treb. The side whos treb collapses first loses.

Note: As we know siege which is not used deteriorates faster so we suggest you consider as part of your tactics to have someone within your team to keep it alive.
How you manage it is up to your team.

The siege can be rotated but should not be fired at the enemy team or siege.

MODE 2 Capture The Flag (we will be playing a selection of these game modes, perhaps one round of each):

Ruleset 1): Capture the Resource
Game Lasts 10m or until all members of the opposition are dead

- The faction who controls the flag at the end of the time limit wins.
- The time limit will still be observed in the event of a group wipe (until the flag is changed to the alive players colour with no enemy players to turn it back) i.e if you're group owns the flag at 9m 30s and dies the other team might not have the time to change it back. This is to try and encourage focus on the objective.
- We count control as 'your NPCs have spawned'.

Ruleset 2) 'Golden Resource'

- First team to capture the flag wins.
- No time limit
- We count control as 'your NPCs have spawned'.

Ruleset 3) 'Keep edition'

- Game lasts 15m
- First team to flip the keep wins.
- in the event neither team owns the keep at the end of the allowed time it will be a draw.
- Fight will take place on only the ground floor to minimise fall damage and allow spectators a place to stand upstairs.

Time will start when the keep is flagged to allow for easy timekeeping on both sides and ensure that the flags can be flipped (will start in enemy colours)

If you would like to sign up but only have 8 or 16 players please make a note in your post.

The main event will be 12v12 Battlegrounds but it is possible to organise / run some 'unofficial' gvgs to one side whilst the main event is going on to prevent groups from just sitting around.

Campaign will only be shared with streamers and gvg participants. We encourage everyone to watch on streams. if you want to show up in person please be prepared to leave temporarily if we have issues with logins again.

Bring 12 for the main fights, drop to 8 for some side fights if you can

I've contacted them ingame, it will be their choice if they wish to attend, don't turn this thread into a trolling post point about the game is to pvp in the manor you choose even if others disagree with it.

Having said that I'd love to see what sort of team Decimation could put together, one of your officers was really positive about it last event but you didnt quite get a group together.

I really encourage you to try something different to your normal groups even if you feel like you wont enjoy it, it is an interesting experience to have and you might just surprise people who think less of you, besides pact isnt showing much strength on the signups so far :<

It wasn't trolling, I was serious, especially with the Azura thread forum PvP in mind. It's not often we get to fight Decimation without 900 ping on Azura so I'd like to fight them in the tournament to see what they're made of

Player made content can be competitive just has to be simple enough but interesting

Hopefully we will hear back from a few other guild. DC has the guild advantage atm
