Having decided to give the game another go after many months away and giving away absolutely everything I had previously, I'm left with 1.5m in AP stored for when I might come back again to trade or open for stuff to sell.

My question is is there anything worth selling or trading AP for gold now that can be used to kickstart my economy?

You could buy akaviri motives and sell them to get some money. The gear you can get with ap isn't very useful currently, but that will probably change with the next patch.

Akiviri motifs, but find a buyer before purchasing them. They'll cost 200-500k AP I think, and they'll net...oh...100k gold each I think? That's about the best you'll find, sadly.

They have announced that a traveling merchant of sorts will be coming in the next update that will sell undaunted set pieces for AP, so it may still be worth saving.

They're also upgrading the bag sts to V16 next patch. So save for that.

I was doing that at first, then realized that Goldscales (mats for crafting Akaviri) sell at much better ratio almost 1/2. Sold them in stacks of 10, and they all went same day. This was less then month ago, so im not certain its still same today, but worth checking out...

Will probably be a few weeks/months before I get back into it properly so will save my AP for VR16 bags and anything else new and useful for a little cash injection.

You'll be able to pvp competitively in the meantime using purple v15 gear, which is easy to obtain. Go farm for mats in Imperial Coty Sewers or Orsinium, and you'll have that gear in no time.

Agree. The ROI on the motifs almost a third of what the old v14 gear used to sell for.

I've been saving my AP for the bag update, I think the motifs were an AP sink.

Personally, I'm saving all my AP for when they start selling monster sets. God knows how expensive those are going to be...

Sitting on > 20kk Ap. Hope they will bring some cool ap items again soon.

Save a couple millions for when they will bring in the undaunted sets to buy with AP.

Ive saved up 7 million ap atm, hoping to get to 10 million before the ap vendors are updated etc, then i can probably get the sets I want.

Please can we store AP in a bank... the odd couple 100k here and there is going to mean nothing if something costs 750k ap.
