Approx times on scheduled maintenance

Hi,

Can we have some sort of approximation on how long the scheduled maintenance jobs last? All I'm seeing is an outdated banner at the top of the forum that states the maintenance (I'm assuming) starts at 6:00AM EST which currently it's earlier than that... Or does that banner indicate it will finish come 6:00AM EST??? Please clarify. I understand that you can't be 100% exact on how long it will take but some more communication would go a long way!

All I'm looking for is something like this: "Scheduled maintenance to start approx 6AM EST and finish approx 11AM EST".

PS: I'm on PC NA servers.

If they do give an approximate time and go over it people will complain. So they don't bother giving one.

I understand that kids will complain but they can still cover their asses by simply stating "approximately". Being left in the dark with a vague banner once a week is not very good communication with your customers.

Most of us have been dealing with that since April 2014. And it's not the kids that complain.

Just because things have been like this for a long time doesn't mean they can't change. All I'm asking is for a simple approximate. Lots of other MMORPGS do this and of course there will always be someone complaining about something but I'm sure most people would appreciate some sort of insight into how long this might POTENTIALLY take.

All i wanna know, are we getting any patch note's for the maintenance? Or is it strictly maintenance.

There is suppose to be a change to fix performance that pc got awhile ago but console never has. The one where buff's only applie to group's instead of everyone around you. Nothing big but should help.

I assumed change logs would be part and parcel of any server maintenance, especially when there's one scheduled for every week! Again, less communication with your client base is not a good business model to follow in any case. I don't intend on complaining just trying to offer possible solutions. Would love to hear from a staff member in regards to this but probably won't.

Likely to be maintenance and not a patch. They wouldn't do a patch to the PC and console servers at the same time.
