I Saw Real Fun Being Had in ESO Today

I just saw a level 21 Nord in Mournhold dropping diseased meat onto the ground, running behind a building, and peering around the corner.

While the rest of us are locked into the eternal grind, this maximum height Nord, wearing a Robe, with full sleeve tattoos, was having a joyful experience, and I envied him. :(

Do you still have these experiences? I feel a compulsion to spend all my time improving my character so I can exemplify power and dominance.

The diseased meat is one of the trophy's I regularly carry with me, but I usually end up falling for my own trick.

Haha... that's awesome actually, I might do the same thing later... I have the perfect place in mind also, hmmm... Stonefalls, Davon's Watch. ;)

You're never too old (or too high lvl) to play tricks and have fun.

I've lost my feeling of obligation to be a completionist in games a long time ago, so fun is the only reason for me to do anything in ESO, or any game.

Stop and listen to the Nirnroots. :)

    Yes!

My fun yesterday I was riding on my horse to the imperial city. I was looking on the map for a second and suddenly I noticed I got attacked in the middle of nowhere. 3 DC guys popped up, I killed them all, got back on my horse and resumed my journey. (They were low level, but still) that's what I call fun.

Most fun part is I was on skype with a friend explaining something to him and I went wtf wtf wtf and he heard me bashing buttons and freaking out XD

Not long after I made this thread, my old buddy from the Halo 3 days told me he got ESO, so I made him and his stepson a blue quality level 1 outfit to wear, a few glyphs, some weapons. While his stepson loved the medium Xivkyn/Mercenary combo I made, my buddy hated the light armor jerkin assortment motif ensemble I made him, and hid his hat and had me replace the belt and shoulders, lol. Gave them 10k each for a horse, and another 10k each spending money. One-shot everything in Fungal Grotto so they could get an easy skill point. Was a lot of fun being their Tamrielic guide.

I still have fun. Just hanging around in Stonefalls looking at the, now very familiar, landscape. Also playing Hide and Seek with GF in all of Tamriel cities. Finding hidden beautiful places. Not sure why it has to be about killing things all the time... ;)

GoS has a pastime that happens relatively rarely. It does occur in Cyro, it does include siege, but rarely does it include PvP. It is usually done in retaliation for gatecamping, nightcapping, or any other annoying PvP faux pas as we see fit. (such as zerging, excessive/personal hate tells, raging on your stream about zazerg, etc)

See we pick a keep (usually Fare, Glade, or Brindle) on the map, and systematically completely demolish it. Every wall, door, postern, corner, resource, if we have the time the postern houses and the roof, just break everything breakable.

And then cap it and leave. Repair it if you want, we don't care. Hope you enjoy the central air.

I like that. I had a somewhat similar experience tonight while farming Jute. I saw a very low level character solo'ing the first Dolmen west of Davon's Watch. He was doing a slow job individually attacking enemies. I step up and one shot everything as soon as it spawns, give the final boss the Dragon Leap overkill, do the blessing emote, wait for the young adventurer to show respect to the o.g. master wizard....he turns around and jogs off. No emote. Where's my adulation? :o

I do the same thing when sitting in Stonefalls. I put a piece of the meat on the middle of the street and run away and watch from a distance, once i see someone start to eat it I will run up and throw a bucket of water on them. They usually end up staring at me for 30 seconds then move on, its pretty funny. Or when you know someone is watching you kill something, once its dead blow it a kiss and run away, i've had a couple people msg me after laughing.

One of the cooler thing's that have happend to me in eso...

While i was chest farming for briarheart in Wrothgar there was this one lower leveled player who was killing some enemy's. I was watching him battle as i rotated through the chest's, since it was basically a big circle i would come back to see this player repeatedly. He would be battling troll's that were like mini bosses by himself, not very hard to kill for me but for him they were like full fledged bosses.

I would go beside him and heal him to make sure he did not die and cheer him on. After a while i started to help him out a bit. Every rotation or so i would come by and finish the enemy he was attacking and continue to cheer and play emote's.

After awhile the lower level player started to follow me. He did not have a microphone but that did not matter. I showed him the rotation of chest's i was doing and even did a couple delve's with him.

In the end he sent me a friend request and sent me a message thanking me for helping him out.

Not really much of a story but it was fun to take some time out of my farming to help someone lower leveled. It benefited me in the end, i got some sky shard's that i would not have gotten if it wasn't for that lower leveled player.

Kinda make's me wish there was more content that scaled the player to v16. This way i can help anyone without stomping the content like it's a joke. I would love if all the existing content and zone's scaled to v16 so i could go back and explore and possibly come across another low leveled player and share stories and help each other out.

This is where Eso fall's short for me. After your v16 all the old content is useless.

Id say Im technically having fun when pvp zerging or running a pve trial, as gaming is considered a relaxing and leisurely hobby, the graphics are nice, the gameplay is for the most part compelling, and I like the feeling of taking over the role of a Flame Wizard in a fantasy world. This guy was having a whole different kind of fun, though. The people who awesome'd my original post definitely understood the type of fun that was being had. He played out a scene in the game that would be a mischievous and wacky deed in real life. All this in a game that encourages and rewards the taking of life.
