I thinks they should take their time with it, and once they do finally get something done, let it brew on the PTS for some time before releasing it onto main servers.

What else can they do with so many players ranting about them not making plans public. Things that are far from fleshed out end up being announced to appease those people, even ideas that may never make it into the game.0 -

You sound a bit uninformed.
I have been fine with vet ranks, but there are good reasons to remove them if they go that route. There are pros and cons. I'm not sure the pros are things that many enjoy in a game.
I do think that getting to current VR16 gear might be excessively quick for new players with the CP catch up. But I fail to see the problem with that.
For me, the main problem will be progressively difficult zones. I like having progressively more difficult zones on my first playthrough. I also like being able to set aside world bosses that are too difficult for me and returning to them after a little leveling. I would hate to see all world bosses end up like the Wrothgar world bosses where you end up joining a group of 20 and there is no challenge. I like the current setup where I can periodically revisit world bosses until I can take them out.0 -

"VR removal is not something they are just starting on, it's basically been in the works since shortly after launch when it became clear that lots of players hated it. Many people left the game when they hit the wall that is veteran ranks and it's likely that new players will continue to do so should VR remain, not good for a game that depends on people staying around and spending more money.
Some reasons CP is superior to VR:
Alts, alts, alts. Making it fun to create alts means that people play longer and hopefully spend more money. VR makes leveling alts really painful, but CP is account wide.
ZOS has more control with CP via the cap and catch-up mechanic, they can use those to keep the player base closer together and thus encounter much less difficulty when balancing content.
Champion points are earned much faster than veteran ranks, giving a more immediate sense of progression. Even after nerfing the XP requirements for veteran ranks they still take forever to earn. TERMINAT0R_XVII✭✭✭The last time I checked they said not till after or with the dark brotherhood dlc which is slated for Q2-Q3 2016. You are looking at a minimum of 4 more months before you see Vet ranks removed. I'll most likely have end game gear for 4 out of my 7 alts before that happens lol
