God nbsmurf, at one point you had me thinking I might be on board with you because at one point you are willing to think of compromises instead of simply " I don't want mememe, the game is perfect with the tools they have. ". Which is bs e the landslide vote of albeit a small fraction seems to point in the opposite direction, I wouldn't fear at all if the opened this up to the larger community, I have no fear the majority would ask be for text as well as voice.
At one point you were mentioning compromises, such as text chat within the menu, and I agreed. But you are back to your one trick pony mememe, who cares if the others and there gaming experience, I have an amazing guild, everyone uses there mike, I have no problems therefore the rest of these issues are non existent. Dude seriously find a middle ground if everything was perfect like you said the lfg tool was, lol blaming the players they don't know how to use it, just like you're doing now with the horrid communication system, people might be inclined to agree with you more.

I don't really know what those proposed changes are. In the end I still prefer grouping with people that actually prove that they are human enough to ask to join a group in a chat channel. LFG tool will always stand for Looking For Derp not because of the way it works but because of the people that use it. I really do not see what the problems are with the tool are at the moment though. It works just fine technically.
Even with a perfect LFG there is no reason not to have a LFG chat channel and a trading channel. For example you may want to ask for something a bit less standard like a group to quickly farm undaunted EXP. or crag delves. You could talk a bit and convince some people to do it even though they wouldn't have used the LFG for it.There are guild chats for these but it would be nice to have access to more than at most 500 people.
Then why not come accross more like what I have mentioned. I do want the text chat, see it as an intergrel part of an mmo, and after their flop for lfg, even now with the fixes, the lack of communication/social feel to the game, among other issues, but I try to see it both ways. There are other people out there with issues with communication be it speaking, hearing, reading, social etc. Everyone is up in arms about keeping something out that would only further communication, because from what I see and experience in guilds, grouping, towns is even though voice chat is an OPTION, just like I and other would like text chat to be, PEOPLE JUST DON"T USE IT. Not because they are simpletons and can't plug in a damn mike, it is because they simple do not want to, and i have been polite and used ps4 native messaging tools and simple asked in the voice chat. People either are not in the chat or don't care, so again text chat would be the next best thing. Unlike what a gentleman said in the other thread that ZOS should FORCE people into the voice chat, I would see a compromise as being the best solution. Seeing as people simple avoid or choose not to use quite often why not put in another communication tool other than that wretched wheel which I have used. So again guys I understand if you were FORCED to use a tool like we are almost FORCED to now with the voice chat, but people still resist which is why so many are so frustrated with the game and the social or lack thereof aspect of this MMO, and i use the term MMO loosly at this point. So we do realize NBS that you have joined a social paradise where everyones mikes are on and eveyone speeks and grouping and trials and runs and trading and all other aspects of this game are a grand promenade through paradise, there seems to be a larger faction that thinks otherwise. Also, again I wouldn't fear at all if they opened it up to the larger gaming community and poled them I have no doubt that it would keep in the trend that the previous thread shown.
I know, right?WalkingLegacy wrote: »Because adding a /lfg would take so much away from the community and game.

First, this thread is about a PC lfg text chat channel instead of the idiotic zone chat channels in zones with undaunted enclaves . Second, at no point did I actually say that the LFG tool shouldn't be an option or they should completely stop improving it. The only thing I said is that I , and I think a lot of people, will still not use the damn thing regularly. You are talking about some "compromise" but there is no thing or issue to compromise about Third, holly walls of text Batman!!!!I know, right?WalkingLegacy wrote: »Because adding a /lfg would take so much away from the community and game.
The community would implode without the constant stream of "philosophy" and high level political discussions, mercenary motif wts spam, PC [random lvl10 crap],lfg vr16 DPS in zone chat. It is the glue that holds the community together.
