Those guys sometimes weave light attacks between full heavy attacks so they probably got a bit further.I'd expect one or two devs to maybe be able to finish the arena, but the devs don't have to be good at the game they make. That's what internal testing's for.
Devs, I know you can never tell what characters you play in game, but you can answer this simple question. Also, be honest this is using a character you made not a test template.
How far have you gotten in The Veteran Maelstrom Arena?
I feel a company should know the product they put out, so I hope you've at least tried it as a player would.

I'm certain the devs completed vMA, most likely using test/template toons. In fact, most template toons would likely be "inferior" to comparable "real" characters. Keep in mind that the devs are the folks who coded the arena and, as such, have knowledge of spawn locations, map mechanics (including timers and triggers), etc., which are all things that we, as players, had to figure out in one way or another.
