game breaking bug not getting fixed - what can I do?

Hello folks,

since around 3 1/2 months I am waiting for ZOS to actually help me with a game breaking bug I am struggling with (personally for me, it is a game breaking bug since I don't really feel like playing this game anymore until this bug gets fixed). After like 2 months waiting for an useful answer from the customer support I finally got an answer that the development knows about this bug and they are working on it. But to be honest...it just sounded like they wrote it so I won't 'bother' them anymore. And see....still not fixed and the customer support is ignoring me. I tried to be polite, but that didn't work either. It's just really annoying paying for a game and get the feeling that they don't 'care ' about your gaming experience at all...

So my question to you guys:
What can I do? Still try to mail the customer support? Or should I wait hoping that they will not forget about the bug?
Or should I just forget about this char with the bug, reroll (with all the damn effort i put into this char)and hope that the bug will not occur on the next one? Because ZOS seems to not fix it...

In short: I can not unlock dawnbreaker but I want flawless dawnbreaker for my stamina nightblade. I don't want to play without it.

    If it's any consolation I do sometimes have issues with my UI that basically misreads or rolls back my skill line experience meters. Hell I even had my game tell my Sorcerer his Storm Calling grew to 27 like four times!

    Wow, that really sucks. I don't know in-game or out of game how to fix this.

    But I would definitely keep emailing customer support on a regular interval. Someone has to have the power to raise that skill line to 10 for you, even though the general mechanics are not allowing it to happen. If it was me, I would take two screenshots of me at completed dolmens with my mouse hovered over the xp bar to make the "1596/1600" show up. Since that would be an impossible scenario to reproduce without being bugged.

    I would keep submitting this through emailing customer support, until its fixed. Make your message very simple. Not that you aren't gaining xp, but that you SHOULD be rank 10 fighters guild, can someone change that, etc. Just say its a game breaking bug and that's it.

    The idea is just to make a very simple and unarguable case, and ask for what you want (rank 10 FG) rather than to fix the known broken mechanic (gaining FG xp towards the end)

    I don't know if this would make a difference, I thought your problem really sucked, and wanted to try and help.

    Sorry for the late response guys. It's so frustrating that I quit playing this character until something is done about that bug.
    Thank you for the responses! I will email the customer support on a regular basis again now. I'm waiting since almost 5 months now for this to be fixed.

    @Stikato: Thank your for your response! The screenshots are a good idea. I just made two screenshots of killing skeletons (before and after) and will mail it to the customer support and post in in my other thread.

    Yeah that sounds perfect! "Hey I should be rank 10 FG, can you help me?" is a pretty simple message that should get through.

    I have the same problem with my two highest level characters but for the Mage Guild skill line a vet 1 and a lvl 46 both stuck at exactly level 6 and 3/4 on the xp bar, so far tickets have been ignored and i have quit playing those characters and rolled new ones. I have read posts and spoken to people who have the same problem but had no idea the problem was this old. No way in hell i am spending any more cash on this game and i am actively looking for a replacement.

    I definately agree and feel you. You might want to post in the following thread too, since it has more views, comments, contains the issue with the mages guild skill line and will hopefully be recognized by ZOS as soon as more people speak up:
