i wanted to start a new main character for a while now, but im discourged from doing so since stuff i've worked ALOT for (aka mount-feeding, tons of achievements and trait research) are locked on one char and arent account-wide, thus making me stay with a character i like less and enjoying the game less than i could.
i've thought about an idea that could make achievement account-wide without removing the "yay! achievement!" feeling from new characters, the idea includes these changes:
1. make achievements account-wide (obviously)
2. introduce "achievement stacking", aka you can earn the same achievements over and over again endlessly, but you'll only gain achievement points for the first time you gain the achievement (you would be able to see how many time you earned each achievement)
3. to not get spammed with achievements like superior ransacker and the like you'll only get notified for earning an achievement at the first time you got at on the character you're on
and my ideas for the "trait research account-wide" change are:
1. make trait research account-wide (obviously)
2A. about the research-speed: remove the research-speed part from the passives (thus reducing the ranks of this passive from each skill line from 4 to 3) and make the speed the fastest from the start.
2B. the passive will now determine how many research slots you have access to you on the character you're on at the moment. these slots will be numbered and you'll have access to slots 1, 2 and 3 only if you've upgraded the passive enough to access each one.
and the mount-feeding idea isnt complicated at all, just make it account-wide
