Why is it so hard to find a guild?

haoleflipub17_ESO
I am starting new and trying to find a trading guild, but I don't know which are available and which ones are recruiting. I can't find a guild recruitment forum or anything like that. When I go to towns there is no one in chat saying that they are recruiting. How in the world do I find a trading guild to join in this game?

Scroll down to the bottom for guild recruitment and pick your system/server. Good luck.

If you're PC, just ask in zone chat of your alliances's capital.

Ahhh, thanks. I didn't see the guild recruitment all the way at the bottom. I figured it would be closer to the top for some reason lol

    1. Find a good trading city with lots of foot traffic
    2. Open up a vendors menu and jot down a few of the names of people selling
    3. Send a message to those players asking if you can join their guild
    4. ???
    5. Profit!

Or go to the beginning zone for your faction and do a zone chat (assuming pc) that you want to join a trading guild. You will quickly get plenty of offers.

Trading Guild eh? Should not be hard to find one considering most every guild is a Trading Guild if it isn't for RPing, "the cursed", or (like mine) General Purpose. Why are you having a hard time finding one? Because Trading Guilds tend to charge their members to be members to maintain holding a Trading Kiosk and this can be tough for newbies.

I just stand around by the busy guild traders and someone always invites me to a trading guild. Try that out the busier the better

Some of my guilds have minimum requirements, some don't. For those that do it's always 1k a week. That can either be in sales (generate 1k of sales in the guild store), put 1k into the guild lotto (for the chance to win 100K or so), or just donate 1k.

Your guild mates can quickly teach you to generate that type of income on a weekly basis without committing much time to it, even in starting zones. Gathering and selling resources creates a reliable stream of income with minimum effort. Investing an hour a week doing this will never make your character rich but it will pay the bills.

If you are a noob you don't need the kind of guild that charges more than that.
