    This game is in such shamble's performance wise, balance is thrown out the window in the mean time until performance is fixed.

    The new battle spirit was just to stop ganking so there was less complaining on the forum's. It fixed none of the actual issue's regarding class balance and skill's.

    On top of that, vampire's have been dealing with camo hunter for so long and nothing is being done about in a timely manner.

    People forget to realize that vampire's take full effect from fighter's guild ability's at all time's. That's 9% extra weapon damage, the 60% extra damage from dawnbreaker and camo hunter proc's. Did i forget to mention the extra fire damage and health regen debuff's vampire's have to deal with...

    Vampire's get sneak speed and a little bit of damage mitigation with some regen. Hardly enough to warrant all the negative's.

    Zos is failing hard when it come's to what need's to be fixed now. They are to busy creating new content when the current content is having a hard time staying alive. Pvp is one of the main contributor's to why any player will continue to play this game in the long term. If the short term balance is not fixed now, the player base is going to move on real quick.

    I'm pretty much a broken record player on these forum's. When is Zos gonna step up their game?

    Just wanted to add a little something.

    People are bringing up organized group's using clouding swarm as an excuse for the insane amount's of fighter's guild damage. So is this AoE bomb all vampire's have?

    ANY group can AoE bomb with enough coordination. Making this an invalid argument. One person using Radiant Mage light ruin's a Clouding Swarm bomb making everyone visible for a counter attack.

    Yes Clouding Swarm group's are a lethal combo, however this would be exactly the same if everyone used Soul Tether or any other AoE combo. It's organized group's that are lethal, don't just point as vampire's and claim they are op.

    I'll need to dig around a bit to get you the link, but there was a recent thread that pretty much sums this up (and much older ones too). One of the problems is that the dev team is so divided on the direction of the game. Half wants WoW and the other half wants the single player Skyrim type game. It's ridiculous.
    The half that wants the single player style is really just gimping the project as a whole due to the fact that the style of single player games has a finite amount of play time. MMOs are the exact opposite. They need to focus on the "player made" fun. Examples include:
    -PvP competitions like capture the flag, duelling arena competitions, guild vs. guild PvP arenas etc...
    -Player housing
    -Proper trade (linked to player housing, example; growing and farming crops/herbs to sell, not my kind of thing, but it is some peoples)
    -Proper trials that scale

    I'm sure there are a huge amount more that could be listed, but frankly it's not my job and those devs within the ESO team that are pushing so hard for the linear singular quest lines to continue to be produced need to be pulled into line.
    They need to consider that if people wanted the single player experience they'd play Skyrim, it does all of this at a much more immersive and enjoyable level. ESO needs to offer what Skyrim does not.

    This is pretty much the only thing regarding Eso in that article.

    There is suppose to be a big patch (next dlc) coming that's going to fix performance and provide some class balancing. Hopefully this is something we have all been waiting for and actually fixes most of the issue's.

    Do you want Vampire's to have no weaknesses at all? Because that's what this sounds like.

    The Fighter's Guild is designed to combat Daedra and the Undead, and also do well against Werewolves. This goes for all skills from it, including the Ultimate known as Dawnbreaker.

    No nerf is required. This is merely one of your weaknesses as a creature of the night. Don't like it? Don't be a Vampire. Simple as that. And Werewolves are in the same boat by the way... I mean did you honestly think they were called "curses" for no reason? lol

    I have multiple characters that are vamps and i agree fully with @UltimateJoe777 on this... it is a price to pay and there are ways of countering that 17k dawnbreaker... i only have 17.5k health and have never been hit by a 17k dawnbreaker...

    We got a reduction in fire damage.... yaaaaaay....

    I agree that battle spirit is bust but it buys zenni time to try to fix the issues.. lol..

    Just be happy you can walk around during the daytime. Any buff to vampires should have a corresponding, proportional buff to Fighter's Guild abilities, vamps should be strong but melt to Dawnbreaker, it's the sacred sword of Meridia ffs.

    Camo hunter is the only anti-vampire skill that needs fixed.

    Oh you decided to go invis bats so you could be a 1vx superhero? Here's a dawnbreaker, free of charge.

    Honestly, be glad most people are under the impression dk's are bad and therefore are not running heavy attack gank builds with silver shards. You would probably cry.

    Vamps (and ww) dont rly have that many weaknesses anymore. To take away or nerf one of them, would be a bad move. Vamp is still voluntary and nobody is forcing you to be burned by the light of meridia you fiend:)

    I think the problem with balancing vampires has roots in two fundamental strategies:

    1.
    Make vamps super powerful, just as you would expect them to be, seeing them in Skyrim and knowing that you have an even stronger bloodline in ESO... It's the very first vampire's, after all! Balance that by throwing in hard counters, which would be the Fighter's Guild.
    This seemed to be the original approach, and vamps were truly immortal in the beginning days of ESO, as far as I can tell. for some reason, FG abilities didn't seem to provide enough counter... I'm guessing not everyone wants to ruin their builds just to counter a specific overpowered enemy type. Understandable, and it's the very same dilemma we have with Nightblades these days. Sure, there are some weak counters to cloak, but they screw up builds so much, that you're already at an disadvantage. Might as well not bother or just join the darkside.
    So, this idea got scrapped for vamps. Hopefully for Nightblades, soon, but let's not discuss that here. I personally do like this overpoweredness with hard counters more than the following concept, though...

    2.
    "Balance" vamps. Make them just a "flavor", nothing spectacular, maybe some useful tools for certain builds. As in, nerf bats, nerf Supernatural Recovery, nerf Elusive Mist, nerf drain Essence... Admittedly, reduce some weaknesses as fire damage, as well.
    This is the current approach... Unfortunately, ZOS forgot to tweak FG abilities accordingly, they are still balanced for OP vamps! What we get from this is a bat with very clipped wings that has to suffer from hard counters, as well. Which is not balanced at all. ZOS need to re-think this.


    The good players on my FL, those that consistently compete for emperorship, have dropped vampirism because of this. Sure, bats are nice, but do not outweigh the cons, especially as you might as well use the next best ultimate and be stronger 95% of the time. The players you see in Cyrodiil with pale skin? Well, it's difficult to become vampire and to level it up. It also is pretty cool. Parting with vampirism is a big and difficult step, that people just don't want to make. That's the reason. Has nothing to do with gameplay.
    I want more active vampire abilities, stronger ones. Throw in better FG passives if you are afraid of vampires becoming overpowered. But give us back the BAMF feel we deserve as being the bloody children of lamae Bal herself!

    It hits me hard on my vamps, but not one shot. Smiting it a lot worse because of the knockdown. Leaves me in big time trouble sometimes.

    The negatives are worth it for me.

    On my mag templar, mobility from mist from is great. Plus alternating that and bol makes me so tanky. Templar ultimates are useless as well, so bats is nice.

    Magica nightblade, that speed in stealth... Keeping up with people on horses with ease. Bars as an ultimate gives me extra regen, allowing to stack more spell damage.

    Just gone vamp on my new magica Dk. Mobility and regen being main reason.

    I'm breton on my temp and nb, dumner on Dk. I have 340ish CP, so Racial passives, CP and Nirnhoned weapons means that fire damage isn't honestly that much.

    I think it benefits me more than holds me back on pvp.

    I haven't gone vamp on my sorc, because I don't need mobility and I wouldn't drop Overload or ice comet for bats. Shield take flat damage, so would fire and FG damage even apply if I had hardened ward up?

    Oh the only thing I think that needs a nerf aka strengthen vamps, is the doubleprocced cam hunter from stealth. It should have a 1s cooldown.

    The extra stamina is for rolling. Goes right through Dawnbreaker. Just go right at them and they'll miss, 2 jabs with my staff, curse, mag det, frags and bats and goodbye everyone. 8k per sec if hungry bats and 5k regen per infidel inside. Camo hunter is dirty though. So long as your on foot just stay in sneak and walk, it's the same speed with vamps as regular walking / jogging speed.

    The Fighters' Guild skill-line is designed specifically to counter Undead and transformed Werewolves. If you don't want to get hit by all that Dawnbreaker damage, you don't turn into a vampire.

    If you're a vamp and you get hit with an anti-vamp Ulitmate it should hurt.

    That begin said, vamps should get their mag/stam regen without slotting skills because they always take more fire/fighters guild dmg.

    How much more friggan love do vampires need hell started at 50% fire weakness and nerfed it 4 times to a pathetic 25% you spam bats and keep fighting give the mortals something to kick your arse with gotta have a trade off for being a vampire rock paper scissors dude. Vamp is rock fighters guild is paper, people weak to stealth and nbs are scissors, and scissors toting paper is Just a game of russian roulette you win some you explode into dust and lose some.

    I'm everything that doesn't belong in the pact but i'm there anyway...

    It comes through in the way the game has developed, they marketed the game in the beginning with lots of multiplayer advertising (even look at the current intro featuring mainly Cyrodiil), but PvP has been hugely neglected in favour of the linear "follow the marker" style PvE content.

    I wish passives didnt take each hotbar into account, if you have ww slotted on one bar, you should get the stam regen bonus on both bars.

    I think its balanced; There are benefits and downsides.

    If the benefits do not out weigh the downsides, you wouldn't go Vampire/WW so complaining about it is riddiculous. especially complaining against a skill line/ultimate dedicated to killing undead and daedra.

    i think the vamp skills are crap mind. They need love. but not the whole dynamic between FG/undead

    I would cure my Vampirism (again) if there were decent Templar ultimates, apart from Remembrance.
    • Mist Form is broke, doesn't reduce damage by 75%, more like 30%. Not to mention that it has been nerfed so that you'll just be slowed/immobilized and gap-closed to death while in it (I know you could always be snared in it) so it's a waste of 1 skill slot.
    • Clouding Swarm doesn't always put you in stealth/make you invisible.
    • Devouring Swarm heal nerfed due to battle spirit.
    • Camo Hunter hitting for 20k+ literally 1-shotting us, like in my recent video.
    • 25% more fire damage taken (not so bad with a few CP in ele def)
    • Dawnbreaker hitting us for 17-20k total damage.
    etc etc

    I ask myself, what is the point? to run faster in sneak? to take a tiny bit less damage while low health, yet being more vulnerable in execute range?

    Apart from the looks, it's pretty useless to be honest. It needs to be re-worked or looked at properly, especially since it's officially in the crown store... there should be a warning or something;

    Warning! May cause a terrible PvP experience where you'll be one-shotted before you can even react or see your enemy.

    Actually that's one of the things I like about TES vampires is how they can go out in daylight as long as the feed and keep there vampiric powers fully charged instead of just poofing like in all other vampire lore.
