New player

shauny.gibbsb16_ESO
Hi apart from a quick play I never spent any time in ESO due to life changes on release, however I have game time again so searched for top played mmo's and ESO was recommended a good amount, I'm an EU player and I'm hoping someone has time for a few pros and cons, is PvP enjoyable, will i be able to catch up with some effort to join in, etc.

I generally prefer ranged roles Archer types or mage types if Archers are overly nerfed (happens alot)

Thanks in advance for any info :)

There are non Vet PvP Campaigns for you to get your feet wet as a leveling character. In the next year, there are plans to have Campaigns that don't have any Champ System bonuses so there is no catch up needed for those.

However with the new "Catch Up" system for Champ Points, once you reach Veteran Ranks, you will be raking in the Champ Points for the early levels. Also, there is a cap now on the points so a new player can catch up to an established player in a decent amount of time. What that time is depends on how much you play. I am in the 300's (almost 400 champ points) and the points are coming in quite nicely. There is one dungeon in Wrothgar that I can get a Champ Point in one lap while enlightened, and yesterday I got almost 3 doing a couple of laps with two other players. I would imagine a newly minted VR on an account with no points could get 10 to 20 points per lap in that same place, even unenlightened.

Now, if you do the leveling content and then some of the Caldwell's Silver and Gold Content (where you essentially play in another alliance on your same character) you will have most of the champ points you need by the time you reach VR16.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
