I paid for this game a month ago via Humble Bundle. I redeemed the code.
I finally logged in earlier this week, made a character, played it a little while, logged in next day or so, made another character, played it a while, then Saturday night, using the same login I always use, I am told it is incorrect.
The support website mechanics are horrible.
It asks for your 1st/last name and email for both forgetting your ID or password. I use Last Pass password vault. Nothing has changed since a few days ago. I pasted the pw just like I did a few days ago into the game login. The website doesn't recognize my name or email. Other websites when you request a pw reset it simply sends you the email (perhaps with a Captcha authentication) and you click on the link in the email. Not this company. I am stuck unable to login but I hope it is only because of their authentication servers are screwed from this free weekend event.
I wound up having to create an entirely new account with a different email just to contact support that requires you to be able to login. So stupid.
Am I the only person unable to access their account page or game? Why can I log in here?

The only advice I can tell you is to just follow up with support, as for the reason you can log in on the forums and not in game is because they are 2 separate accounts, upon adding the game to your account, you are sent an email which allows you to create a forum account. Not very helpful but I answered your second question
