How do people make their gold?

I really need to buy certain sets yet i can't seem to get anywhere enough gold to get them, how are people making it, are they farming certain areas or such?

Also is there a good grind spot for glyphs? im 44 in enchanting and i can't seem find any glyphs now

For a serious answer, there's 2 good ways:

1. Orsinium Public Dungeons: lots of V16 gear to decon for mats, selling for traits and chance for an Ancient Orc Motif page to sell
2. IC: gather all trophies you can find, open chests for Xivkyn pages and good stuff like Willpower Arcane Rings or Agility Stamina rings, and Trove Scamps for Hakeijo

Lots of Glyphs to be found in those 2 areas too

It's there any particular areas to farm? The drop rates still seem really bad.

Easiest at the moment: Sell ancestor silk or rubedo leather, ancient orc motif pages.

Yeah, there's some RNG involved with this (Ancient Orc/Xivkyn pages, Right trait jewelry,...)

You just have to pray to RNGesus to be merciful while gathering as many v16 mats as you can. They still sell for good prices and if you can get that extra luck and find smth really good then that's an extra big bonus

I have no magic trick but may I suggest joining 5 large trading guilds. Make sure they are active with numbers close to the limit and they have an active no activity policy. I try to keep my sales maxed out so when I log on, usually have a good amount of sales. I sell absolutely everything.

I've quested in every zone with one character and she has amassed a nice amount of gold. If I sold everything in my stockpiled inventory I would probably be much richer. I do try to hang on to crafting materials since I tend to have many alts. Have a large amount of the gold kutas, resins, etc and will make my gear at some point with no worries. I have a high level enchanter and I really should play the market at some point with her.

Also, check every container you come across. I'm amazed at how many players run past desks, chests, urns, etc. Just this evening found a nice purple motif I plan on selling for 25k or so. My luck hasn't been astronomical but it has been steady. I guess that I'm comfortably middle class in this game lol. Slow accumulation of wealth!

When I first started out in the game again, I fished. Had some great luck on the perfect roes and that set me up to expand my bag space quite nicely.

1.) Trading Guild
2.) Pick up everything and sell it to the NPC merchants, It pays off after a while.


Or be a Khajiit, and sell your wares on the streets.

I haven't made money in ages it seems like. I used to make an absurd amount selling PvP boxes but I haven't been able to do that since pre-IC. The only things I seem to make money from are selling recipes that I come across which aren't needed. I don't have the patience anymore to do the whole mat farming/selling. I'm hoping I can start to get some money again soon with PvP boxes.

I don't go for the big ticket items. Theres enough doing that as there is. I make my gold just farming mats and grinding mobs. I ain't rich but I do ok and that's all I care about.

No one buys them for anywhere near that anymore. Too common and old now. 2.1m gold in the bank. No need to be greedy.

When in need, this one goes to areas packed with townsfolk (but no guards) and relieves everyone of all those terribly heavy and quite unnecessary possessions. It would be unconscionable to allow all those poor souls to risk injuring their backs burdened as such with framed artwork, portable tents, urns, play swords, ceremonial statues and other such items in their pockets.

Done late at night, one can earn 8-10K gold in under an hour and by morning rise the authorities have already forgotten about you.

Just discard any white items and return to the Outlaws Refuge with a sack full of green, blue, and purple goodies.

Best of all, little to no armor repair required.

Damn. They has no idea what they were selling. If I ever see them that cheap I generally buy them and relist them for double that.

Another way op. Hunt for temp alloys. Sometimes I find them being sold for like 6/7k. Just buy all them and stick them up for 12k. They will sell.

I sold it for 200k about 10 days ago. I am pretty sure it was a flipper. I see them posted for ~300k. most of the time.

Bah. The most I ever had was 600k . I will be perpetually poor in this game.

5 Vet characters
-gold tempers /resins from 3k to 10k
-kuta at around 8k
-rings with traits that you want. A lot of ks
-potent nirncrux -20k
-playing goldsink content( VMSA etc). Many ks in repairs for no actual reward.

I actually farm that stuff myself but sometime the wait is to annoying so you buy.

Gold duping. Very profitable. I offer random people to dupe their gold. To prove it is working, I ask them to give me small sum for a start and return double from my own pocket. At that point, they totally believe me and will give me all their money, I will take it and run away.
