Yay! I did it

And this is the only place people will understand. I decided I absolutely had to do the Undaunted Pledges. Oh I have done silvers, but not gold. So Last night, I girded my loins and took my V16 templar healer to Vet CoA. The others in the group had done it before and two were from my guild, Alith, and were very patient with my ignorance of the mechanics. Three hours, game kept bugging (couldn't rezz) and lag kept spiking at 999+, which occasionally felt like I was in a slide show. But eventually we killed the last boss.... YES!!!! So I got World on Fire achievement, a skill point and..... Valkyn Skoria's Hat in light (magica) the trait is impen which frankly I didn't give two hoots about because its my first helm from anything. So I went to sleep grinning and woke up grinning. And I am ridiculously pleased with myself.
Now I just need shoulders...... and they can go on my sorc...... and I am going to do more now
But there is nothing like the first time.

I've never managed to get a group together to run vCoA properly to get a helm, so congrats! I'm very, very jealous as my DK would love that helm

Congrats on the first successful run with a helm drop!

The shoulders have a chance to drop from Undaunted silver and gold chests, so keep at them!

Wait - your FIRST gold undaunted was CoA? Jeez, way to take the hard road. I personally never had any trouble with that one back when my FPS was high instead of 5-40, but I've seen endless numbers of people flail helplessly at many of the encounters there. So extra special congrats.

Thank you for all the congrats....... and yes for my first gold run I went on CoA..... I knew it was hard - lol - and boy it is. Somehow that made me even more delighted.

Congratz. I know exactly how this feels because I got my monster helmet also on my first vet run! I hope you have the shoulders too. If not, know that you can loot them from silver chests too, so keep going.
