Magicka sorc are stronger for dps PvE, stronger in small scale PvP.

Stam sorc and Stam DK depend on weapon skill for dps... We hope they both class will have better stam morph skills.

Stam Sorc doesn't have the best DPS (in trials Magicka DK, Stamplar, Magicka Sorc and NBs are better) but its playstyle is so amazing. Kind of berzerker (critical surge, WB, armanents) or dynamic gameplay (thundering, bolt escape,critical rush) !

2 words you need to know to run a stam sorc- FENG RUSH! He has a few great builds for different situations and play styles. I run with his Imperial City(TYSON) build. I had to modify it a bit because I can not craft Twice Born Star yet and I have not been able to find anyone willing to make it for me (for a fee of course. I am happy to pay if you are willing to help me out). IMO his explainations are more detailed and well rounded than Deltia's. He is easier to follow and see why he did this or that.

Depends on who you're asking. The average pug group is unlikely to care. Hardcore Progression groups will steer you toward Magicka in general. As Stamina is not near as strong as it once was.

Stam sorc dps is on the lower end of the spectrum and you will most likely not be welcome in any competitive trial guilds. If you join a more casual guild they probably won't care and you'll be fine. Depends what your goals are. If are an altmer, you'll find much more success in pve as magicka. That being said, there are some exceptions with stam sorcs, but most people won't reach that level.

Fengrush is a PvPer that doesn't run any competitive trials afaik. He has made a push into maelstrom arena but his builds have no place in a trials discussion.

Your best best would probably be to stay stam sorc them. If you are not altmer the switch to magicka sometimes isn't worth it because with today's gear not having the altmer magicka passive can mean a 10k difference in magicka which amounts to about a 1000 spell damage difference between altmer and non magicka races. That is huge, along with the fact you are already missing 6% dps since you don't have the fire/frost/shock increase passive. You really do have to be an altmer to be a magicka sorc . Like I said, stam sorc will be fine up until you want to get competitive.

I am hitting 20-23k sustain with my new redguard stam sorc. It is right on par with my stam nb and temp. Key is using shadow mundus, beast trap, and 7/7 med divine to push crit and crit dmg as high as possible. My crit is around 70% with 180% crit damage, meaning my wrecking blows hit for about 30-35k.
