If this were the old meta you'd be right, unfortunately that's not the case anymore imo. When was the last time you tried to solo on your Magicka DK?
I havent played solo on my magicka since a bit before wrothgar since i dont have the mats to make the gear I want until now. Healing ward is a waste as any decent dps can cut it down in 1-2 hits and harness only works against magicka builds and there are far more stam builds than magicka. Reflect saves you from the mag builds and using other skills over harness and healing ward are much better options.

Magicka DK should not need more than Igneous. Igneous into Inhale, whip, and blocking used to be enough healing while still being able to keep pressure on your opponent at the same time. Burst is now so crazy that these tools barely keep you alive. There is a 10-12k+ (!!!!!) tooltip heal on whip... but now its actually a 5-6k HoT. LOL.0 -

I agree, I never denied the fact magicka dk is in a really bad spot unless your in a decent group. Obviously as a magicka dk i would die a great deal more than as a stamina dk. but stam dk is just so easy mode, its really boring to play. Not sure why people get so upset when someone says they are going back to magicka or stayed with it.

100% WB spam is more enjoyable than tanking for sure. But making things more challenging is also fun as well.
