Hi,

So I have this build:

7/7 light: 5 pc. Kagrenac (v15), 3 pc. Arch-mage(2x v16,1x v14), 2 pc. Torug's (2x v15), 2 pc. Cyro's Light (2x v6).
On my v16 Argonian it comes out to around 2500 power (unbuffed), 25k magicka, 20k health and 2k regen.

Resto (back)bar: Healing Ward, Concealed Weapon, Dark Cloak, Double Take, Siphoning Attacks
DW swords bar: Crippling Grasp, Swallow Soul, Mass Hysteria, Structured Entropy, and ??

The ?? is where you come into the picture.
I have tried running with Piercing Mark, Trapping Webs, Prolonged Suffering, but don't feel like I've found the optimal skill. I have yet to unlock Detonation on this character so haven't tried that yet, although I have recently read that they are nerfing the single target damage of this skill anyway.
Do you have any ideas, bright or otherwise, as to what I should try to run as the last skill?

Thank you.

Does arch mage have a neck piece? Not sure how you fit all that in otherwise.

Fully buffed (except shadow ability resistances) outside of cyrodiil

    My setup:
    1 Molag Kena
    5 julianos
    3 torug's (2 when I swap to resto)
    3 willpower.

Dual wield and resto. 6 light in divines and 1 medium in infused (my Kena). I run regen drinks in Cyrodiil. I am vampire (helps with regen in such a spell damage heavy build plus speed on stealth with vamp passive, concealed weapon and double take is stupidly amazing)

    Bar 1- Dual Wield
    Dark cloak
Double take (for the speed without weapon swap)
    Concealed weapon
    Swallow soul
    Lotus fan
    Clouding swarm

    Bar 2 - resto
    Crippling grasp
    Impale
Healing Ward / combat prayer (depends on group size)
    Grim focus / shadow image
    Mass hysteria
    Soul harvest

I dropped entropy on mine. The little sort of beam things it does every now and then sorta shows your location while you're in cloak. I did run it on my back bar. Cast and weapon swap straight away to start dps as soon as possible. So now I just use spell damage and spell crit potions before a fight.

You don't have Impale there, your execute. Some play without, but with the damage reduction I like using one. Especially on a mag NB. I want to get in and out. Hit a crippling grasp from stealth, lotus fan, concealed weapon, mass hysteria, soul harvest, (Swallow Soul or another Concealed weapon if need be) execute with Impale and then back onto the shadows.

I'll drop down from a keep we're defending and pick people off. Dot and snare with crippling grasp, another dot with lotus fan, decent damage with concealed weapon, fear, should harvest for big damage, buff my damage against them, healing debuff and then execute. Back to stealth then pick next guy.

Soul harvest is so cheap I can do the rotation over and over. Impale is on my back bar, same as soul harvest, so executing with it also procs the 10 Ulti while killing with soul harvest active.

I was going to play without lotus fan and weave with a destro, but a mag NB strength really is melee range. So lotus fan gets you in there. Plus it keeps you up with sorcs Streaking away

Merciless resolve can be nice for 8% additional damage. I do try and proc the bow with light attacks from my swords, but that's easy to forget in the heat of things. Try shadow image. It saves me a lot. Put it behind a rock/tree, get stuck in, tide turns, can't cloak due to aoes brining you out, go back to your shade

I got this from vet 1 to 16 in 5 days because I was so excited about smashing pvp with it. I wasn't disappointed. Been playing it in pvp about 4 days now and I'm destroying people. Had a few 1vX that I've won too (including a 1v4 that went on a while.)

I love the build. Quick assassination style, bit if it goes wrong because of zerg or whatever, I can just vanish. I choose when to fight and when to get out.

    Thanks, man - great post.

Right now I have Shadow slotted, and planning to play around with that. I did have Impale as well, but it often was out of range so dropped it due to frustration.

And, yes. Arch-mage does have a neck piece.

Grim Focus is also a possibility I've tried, but seeing as I try to stay out of melee and I recently switched to DW I don't get many (any) light attacks off so the spectral bow is out of the question anyway.
Do you know how much damage the shadow image actually does (comparing it to the 8% from Focus)?

Yeh, if I was running a destro I'd definitely run merciless resolve.

I don't use shadow image for the damage really. I hide it and use it as an escape thing. I used it amazingly in a 1v2 the other day. Stuck it behind a tree, went in on a guy, his mate came, took one down and because I was so focused on him the other guy almost killed me. Hit my shadow, took a pot, got him from behind and killed him.

It's a lot of fun and I'm only 5 days into using it in pvp.

Yeah, okay - that sounds awesome. But how do you think it would work seeing as I'm not aiming to get into melee range? I've had trouble really utilizing it as I tend to put it up and then stand like a fool right next to it. Also, the lag sometimes makes me jam the buttons, often times making me pop the Shadow teleport the second I put it up.

It might not be that much use for you at range. I don't know, I don't play at range much.

You using a destro resto build?

No, I'm going dw/resto. Was using destro staff but felt like I couldn't pass up on the extra 500+ spell power. When I was using Ice Staff the Clench completed my build perfectly, but now I'm torn.

Is your regen that high with drinks + vamp + CP or am I missing something else?
