Halls of Torment Companion Choice

Does it matter who you choose to take with you to the halls of torment? I would prefer Abnur Tharn over Lyris. I read somewhere about sai sahan having a crush on Lyris so I am just wondering if the choice matters.

It does not. I find Tharn's the more amusing companion. He's also useful if you're like me and prefer more melee characters.
    PC/NA: Primarily Daggerfall Covenant.

Lennie: Breton Sorceror. 9-trait crafter on everything, purveyor of useless frippery.

May the sun shine on your scales. Appreciate it. Tharn is just a more interesting character than Lyris.

I'm here because I'm starting this quest right now and wanted to make sure I wasn't going to kill Lyris. Here's my thinking now:

-I don't trust Tharn alone with the Prophet
-I do trust Lyris to protect the Prophet

Let's be real Lyris is awesome and Tharn is dangerous, but I'm CP 330 and have saved every province in Tamriel. She'd be in the backseat for the whole ride. I feel like I could slap Mannimarco and spit on Molag Bal. Tharn might betray me, but I can take him!
    Gwynauldynn. Crafter. Merchant. Guildmaster. Adventurer.
Uthastyan. Corporal of the Lion Guard, abroad for the glory of the Covenant.
    Dra'arah. This one picks pockets.
Sleeps-With-The-Fishies. You want a soul gem filled? Pheh. My pleasure.
Vanyonah Telvanni. Born an ashlander. Destined for greatness.

I have done the quest on a lot of alts, Tharn was more fun to have along, that's just my opinion though.

    It matters not..
But Tharn isnt in your way every step you take...

Pick each of them on a different character.

If it's your first time through, go with Tharn. He's both funnier and more useful in a fight.
