I have heard that Windows 10 users are having problems running ESOTU, I just want to know if I should upgrade to Windows 10 or should I wait?

Working nicely here. I actually got a nice little FPS boost as well and less choppiness overall, though that might not have been thanks to Win 10 specifically, but just a clean Windows installation.

'Run as administrator' is required for some reason though, at least for the launcher.
    Literally eat my assflaps.

    Uninstalled.

Runs nicely for me to. For some reason I have to use windowed fullscreen, while using teamspeak.

    No issues on win10 here.

Might have something to do with the game being installed in c:\program files, windows is touchy when it comes to modifying content of those folders(as launcher does on a new patch). At least i have it installed on a separate drive (SSD) and don't have to run it in admin mode.

No problems, really. A strange audio issue, but nothing that can't be fixed by logging out/in again.

Cleared up my FPS issues too, though I can't say that was Win10 that did it. I built a new pc and did a clean install of Win10. So that could be the hardware.

I upgraded to Win10 as soon as it released. No problems running ESO. Should note that I only run the launcher for updates and start the game from the .exe. Also, game runs fine under Steam.

Running fine accept I have noticed lately that a year old bug, loosing mouse control for a few seconds has returned (but that occurred in Windows 7 as well... this game only).

I run windows 10 pro and ran 8.1 pro before the game ran smoothly until recently, I now have random crashes sometimes with a stopped working error but mostly without just randomly closes ... I submitted a ticket and have been waiting... I've reinstalled 3 times now and no difference..

    GPU: GTX 760 2GB
CPU: AMD 3.4GHRZ Black Edition Quad core
    DirectX: 12
    RAM: 8GB DDR3

I was an Imperial Edition Preorder when it was first released and really had no problems the first year, after multiple patches at the begining of this year the game became unstable as far as becoming really laggy and small freezes back and fourth. Eventually unplayable so I stopped my subscription... I had recently received and email asking me to come back and play just the other day and stating that there is a 1 million dollar giveaway now. So I decided I would try it out again, appearently for some reason unknown to me the game randomly crashes now after about 5 mins of game play.. I am well above specs and have tried all of the trouble shooting tricks and advice given on here and throughout the web. No dice!!

I'm hoping for some random fix or help in this issue..... Please

Just have fun, Life is way to short otherwise!!

What i would do in this case (the same computer that used to run the game fine suddenly has issues) is save all important data (like office documents, pictures, videos etc., but not programs) to an external harddrive, wipe the computer and do a clean windows 10 install, then reinstall all programs you use from a clean source (download from official webpage of the product, or install from CD), then move the documents back.

It's a bit of work, but from my experience, in the end it is a faster and more reliable solution than trying to fish for individual issues. And if the problem does not go away, you will be 100% sure it's the hardware.

Windows 10 still has some kinks to work out, but they mostly don't affect ESO.

There is a BSOD on the latest Win 10 build for nvidia users unless they roll back their drivers to 347.88 or roll back their Windows 10 build to the release build 10240. I definitely recommend against rolling back your build as it is not a well implemented feature - doing so breaks every single windows app (calculator, store, etc) and there is no easy way to get it to start updating builds again. Fortunately it doesn't seem to happen in ESO, the main offenders are Heroes of the Storm and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

There are also some surround sound related bugs. I have several sound cards and experienced bugs with every single one after enabling surround sound. Fortunately, my latest reinstall of drivers (the same exact drivers, just installed a third time) on my Recon3D sound card are so far bug free. If you use anything over stereo sound I would still be concerned.

Right now some people are having a bug in ESO with Win 10 since the latest patch where the game will only display a black screen. This can usually be fixed by restarting, but if that doesn't do it then you need to switch from exclusive fullscreen to windowed fullscreen to remedy the problem.

For the most part, though, Windows 10 is in good shape.

Before I try rolling back my nvidia driver, I would like to try changing to windowed. Can I do this when I only get a black screen after hitting play, and then crash?

I looked for my userconfig file and don't seem to have one.
I have just reinstalled the game. It's been a couple of months since I last had it on my PC, and I upgraded from 7 to 10 in the meantime.

Sorry for my late reply Calamity.

You can manually set this in the usersettings file. The file is located at:

    My Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/usersettings.cfg

the option is SET FULLSCREEN_v5 "2"

That "2" is the problem, change it to "1"

If you do not have the usersettings.cfg file, and it is not automatically created when you open the game, we might have a problem. You could try creating it yourself (open notepad, enter the SET FULLSCREEN_v5 "1", save as any file type, name it usersettings.cfg). I do not know if that would work, though. Good luck!

    Yeah--so, I don't *have* a usersettings.cfg file.
I am guessing this is because I haven't been able to get it to actually start up.

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to roll back my video driver to a specific previous one.
