First person needs some love

I prefer to do quests using 1st person, and I have few ideas for making it a little better:
-Free look. Please, give us an option to hold a key in order to look around while running straightforward. Just like in ArmA games.
-1st person mounting. Why can't we use first person mode while being on mount?
Maybe you guys have also some ideas how to improve first person game expirience, if so please share with us.
