Raising Enchanting

So yes, I have been deconstructing everything since start but, whereas I have all crafting trees maxed out, Enchanting is still stuck at 37. Is there a faster way to raise it? I'm almost VR16 and don't want to find myself getting there and unable to craft runes for that level. Are there any particular mobs and spots where I could farm loads of runes to deconstruct?

Get a mate who is training his too, each craft a lot of blue runes and trade and decon. You can gain whole levels in minutes.

Doing the enchanting writ everyday helps.

Find someone you trust and mail them all your materials and have them make the highest level and quality runes you can (blue normally best here) then send them back so you can break them down. Repeat as often as possible.

Breaking down everything you find.
Make your own and break down.
Buy player made ones from stores and break down.
Doing daily writ for the inspiration boost.

Additionally boost to inspiration can come from.
ESO+ membership (10%)
Champion points passive (forget which one sorry.)

Only by deconstructing every glyph you get, and using all your materials to create new glyphs. Higher level materials (greens and blues) give more XP. Unfortunately the create-decon-create cycle has diminishing returns and takes longer than deconstructing glyphs that you haven't made.

As mentioned above, doing writs helps - both with getting XP and materials.

You won't get much sympathy from old-timers (like me), because levelling enchanting used to be much, much more difficult - and we didn't have writs to help.

Log to your other character, make blue highest possible level glyphs - then decon (if you don't have maxed enchanting yet cry out in the zone chat or trading guilds and someone will 100% contact u)

You can use alts to craft runes and decon on another alt and vice versa. I have maxed all crafts on my alts and 5 more on a second account to have hirelings 3/3 on each craft.

To get your character up to a high enough level you really need help from someone else.

The process is very simple


1) Deconstruct Glyphs

Dont bother about making them, very low levels of return.

Get someone to make up 50 or so blue VR14 glyphs, should be cheap as chips

Deconstruct them, send the materials you get back from the deconstruction to the craft and get a second lot

Rinse and repeat.


If the guy is doing it for free, then dont hit him for the whole amount on one day, bad manners


Deconstructing drop (or non-player made) is a waste of time as well, low returns

I wouldn't mind gaining off glyphs I make. Whereas I have many green glyphs I only have something like 14 blue ones and about 8 purple and 14 gold... I guess the base glyphs between green and purple are expensive to buy, aren't they?

I used blue and green til it hurt and had a friend trade me purple for pirple and gold for gold.

I was in the same position you are in a few weeks ago.

- I had a crafter send me high level gyphs
- I grinded for gyphs and deconstructed everything I had

I think it took me a few weeks to go from mid 30s to level 50.

LOL, like @I_killed_Vivec said, it's much easier now that it was at game release when I maxed. I leveled two alts just from deconning looted glyphs from my main, and working on a third now. I get glyphs all the time, they are not worth it to me to sell in guild stores, and I can't just sell them to vendor or destroy them. I also mailed a bunch to someone like you for 50g each, which helped them level to 50. This was my way to give back. You're welcome to the same arrangement if you are PC NA.

As to the advice you are seeking, the suggestions above are good ones. One that wasn't mentioned is learning all the runes. If you haven't learned them all, hold back until the last levels. The ISP boost is huge from learning them. I went from 49 to 50 making 5 or 6 glyphs with runes I didn't know.

With the release of Orsinium I had to max out Enchanting on my new main. I went from L13 to L50 in one night by just buying and deconstructing green VR15 glyphs. You can find them in the guild stores for 100-200g each and they greatly increase your level when deconstructed. It does not take as many as you think it might.

I leveled it in less than 2h by making a bunch of blue ones on my alt and then deconstructing them on the char I wanted to level up with.

I think I spent 12-15,000.

Ourorboros has helped me with allot of my crafting needs. I highly recommend Ourorboros.

I've started doing that and I went from 36 to 40 in 10 minutes. I crafted a gold rune with 2 unknown glyphs and it went up by more than 1 level!!

I wouldn't reccomend using Kuta (gold) runes for leveling because of their value/rarity. Use purple ones at max.
Also I forgot if you mentioned what format you're on but if you're on PC EU I can always make you a bunch of trash glyphs to break down.
