Just a few Ideas

I have seen SOOO many posts on this lately. I want to just put a few thoughts out there. First all, let me say, I LOVE this game. I hate seeing this game the way its going. There is a lot of potential here and it is just going to waste. So here is my 2 cents.

1) Every DLC needs to provide content for each aspect of the game (pve, pvp, solo). First off add an arena already. This will open up many options in the pvp world. Seasonal gear tied to the arena that has PVP specific set bonuses purchased with currency from the arena or awarded for placing in the weekly boards. Make the PVP buffs carry over so there will still be reason to hold keeps/scrolls. Throw a trial in with EVERY DLC. Make the gear in these trials significantly better than gear from other sources. The amount of time/effort needed to complete these needs to feel worthwhile when you get the gear. The solo side can be catered to with questing, delves, and the like.

2) For the love of GOD add a way to change traits on gear. You want horrible traits to drop twice as much, fine. Give us a way to fix this sh*t as opposed to just bashing our faces against the same damn bosses daily for months on end.

3) Throw jewelcrafting in. We need a way to add jewelry options in the game. The lack of viable jewelry options limits our ability to mix and match sets which results in all the cookie cutter builds you see rolling around now.

4) AUCTION HOUSE! I know the trade guilds don't want this to happen for the most part but running all around tamriel to check the guild stores for that 1 thing is ridiculous.

5) Cut the number of guild down to at least 3. I'd prefer 1 but that's asking a lot. There is little to no thought or loyalty going into choosing a guild. A guild should be a place you consider a second family not just some resource to use when you need it.

I could go on but these are the main ones. I have little hope at this point that ZoS will change their game plan. This will result in population drops continuing. There will be a short jump with every release and then the numbers will drop lower than before DLC release. Eventually the game will shrivel and die. You can't be afraid to change for the better.

I agree with these points, they definitely need to provide small scale PvP options for those who don't want to do large scale and make raiding actually worthwhile by having them drop good sets that are much better than ones you can just craft.

I for one having played this game ever since it was released for the consoles have never liked how the player can only sell items to others in their guild or guilds. I do like guilds for the purpose of finding others to play the game with. I wish that they would have went with public auction house instead so you can buy and sell stuff with everyone who is on the same server.

But seriously, pease take the time to check out the original post ( http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/159594/eso-needs-an-auction-horse-expanded-concept/p1 ), the idea is pretty unique and could fill the needs and desires of both Auction House enthusiasts and those that do not want an Auction House due to lore constraints.

Despite all the posts I have made on things ESO is missing or is in need of... so do I. SO much. Of course, most of that love comes from the fact that this IS set in Tamriel.

OMG YES!!! SO much potential! The fact that the gaming industry isn't looking at ESO as the way MMORPGs should be done, as they look to Bethesda core RPGs, continually saddens me. :disappointed:

I completely agree. ZOS seems to be segmenting ESO MUCH more than they should. This area is for PVP. This area is for PVE. Hopefully it won't be "This area is for the Dark Brother hood and that area is for the thieves guild." These groups not spanning all of Tamriel would be a travesty.

I don't really bother with these things. I'm the type that runs content once and then I'm done. Doing the same thing over and over an over and over and over gets as tedious as this sentence. Bet you can't guess whether or not I'm an alt-a-holic... hint: I'm not.

Personally I would like Jewelry Crafting and Tailoring added ASAP. We need a way to make regular clothes.

ZOS should change the Guild Systems to different guild types and limit how many you can join based on the guild type. The total should still be 5.
    • Trade Guild (up to 5)
    • RP Guild (only 1)
    • PVE Guild (only 1)
    • PVP Guild (only 1)

That being said, ESO+ should allow for more guilds to be joined... like 10. Just double the above numbers.

Yea, ZOS seems intent on doing whatever it is they are (and aren't) doing. I honestly thought ESO was going to be the refinement and redefinition of MMOs and the pinnacle Elder Scrolls game. Instead we get two halves that aren't greater than the sums of their parts.

Well, Gidorick (almost always) represents what I think so I won't take long... Just throw in some comments:

    3) ZOS has mentioned before that they have plans for some sort of way to craft jewels that might be a new craft skill or a whole new system. So I guess it's on the pipe - or future plans, at least.

    4) Can't agree with you there. Hate Auction houses, love strolling around the world looking for the best deals. :P I guess it's a matter of personal opinion, but I'm certainly biased since I play EVE Online and this is something that you do there, too. And if you're smart, you can profit a lot with this system.

    5) Nope, 5 guilds are fine. Loyalty is a personal thing, I've seen people that couldn't care less about their guilds and ony use them as 'tools' whenever they felt like doing so in games with one guild as well. And I can proudly say that I have met incredibly nice and loyal people in my guild in ESO. One of them even has a big trading guild of their own to run and she's still a capable, present and loyal member of mine. 5 guilds allow you to have several options, and it has always been a "tradition" of Elder Scrolls games to have multiple guilds (if you consider the game guilds, Mage's Guild, Fighter's Guild, etc...)
Lack of loyalty or compromise isn't always related to how many guilds someone is in... And even when it is, it's up to each individual to know how much they can handle before compromising themselves.

I almost always represent what I think too! :smirk:

But really. I'm serious. Sometimes I disagree with myself! internal conflict! GAH! :grimace:

I do agree Dani that the lack of guild pride is more a comment on the individual guild than the number of guilds we can join.

No worries my dear sir, it was a pleasure.

I agree with pretty much everything Gidorick mentioned above, except for the trait changing and number of guilds.

    2. I think traits definitely should be changeable, and I'd take it further and say that items should be upgrade-able in level. It'd have to cost the same amount to push it up a level as crafting an item of that level (so it's way, way more worth it to just re-craft under normal circumstances), and to perhaps require an upgrading item or to even reset the quality to white. This would make crafters much, much more important and stimulate the economy for older, out-leveled gear.

    5. I am only part of social guilds, and so this limitation would be a nightmare for me. I like not having to be extremely loyal to one select group of people as I'm generally a pretty loose kinda person. I wouldn't want to join a guild at all if it was so limited, as they would be a lot more serious then.

I hadn't really thought of it this way @MrDerrikk. I can see how that could be too limiting. And I'm sure there are players who like to join one guild for X type of roleplay and another for Y type of roleplay.

One thing I personally dislike about the guild system is that there aren't faction-locked guilds. It would be cool to give guilds the option to only allow players from a specific faction to join. There should still be faction-neutral guilds... but the option should exist.

This could actually be something I'd sign up for, simply because I accidentally joined an AD and an EP guild with me being DC, and it's quite annoying when I forget what alliance they are and get together a dungeon group, only to discover that I'm in a different alliance :/

Just a minor annoyance, but an easy one to fix. It is good to be able to chat with the enemy, and with groups of mates with other allegiances though.

The guild system needs to be changed completely before any benefits can come from cutting how many we can join. That being said everything else you posted has been asked for/about already lol

The problem with this concept though is people join with accounts instead of characters, at least on consoles.
