The Problem with Malestrom from a odd point of view.

Now before we set up this i want to make something clear. I dont want malestrom to be nerfed, i dont want them to make it easier and i dont want to *** on zenimax. There are already posts on forums saying that the arena needs tweaking which it does but im going to talk about something that gets ignored alot.
What is the motivation to go in to malestrom?
why do we go in there?
why do some players even bother pushing them selves over n over again?
Is the reward even worth it?
Well in my point of view.. there isnt really a reward at all going into there. Lets compare this to another arena type trial Veteran Dragon Star Arena. You have your team laern the mechanics and work your way through 10 arenas as a team to then get to the final fight Hiath The Battle Master. You see diffrence with Vet Malestrom and Vet Dsa is that in Dsa You learn everything from where things spawn, How to deal with those mobs, where they should be fought and How to deal with that arenas challenge. Now you could say 'BUT BUT writer isnt that the same as vet malestrom just learn everything and get used to the mechanics' well yes... thats true you do learn the arena and how to deal with them but there is something in Vet Malestrom Arena thats not in Dsa... RnG with fights. From stage 5 The trolls on ice round picking random islands, stage 6 The spiders and lightning storms coming at same time with the lights being random, 7 the poison flowers being random n spawning on your feet and i could on on on but if you have played the arena then you understand where im coming from. Plus with dragon star arena is there are no mobs that do very odd numbers of damage everything seems fairly balanced in dsa (ignoreing the dps portals).
Ill go to my first point 'What is the motivation to go in to malestrom?' well if its your first time? you simply want to complete it so you know you have done it. it would be a check off the 'what content i have not done list'. Thats the motivation of new people or people who need to complete it. As for seasoned players whats the motivation? it is either to get a good score, get a malestrom weapon or simply test/improve your runs in there. Thou all of these reasons can be countered with simply this.... 'Is the reward even worth it?' NO it is not... The chance of getting malestrom weapon as of now is stupid low... it can take people 2/4 hours (im talking about those who are not amazing at it) to get through the arena and what are left with... Some terrible set peice that no one in there right mind would use and to add insult in injury you can not sell the iteam peice that you have obtained. Plus even if you did obtain the weapon the chance it being triat you want sharpend and precise... is stupid low as well. Everytime i see player link his/her weapon 90% time it is defending.
Ill give a quick example of how bad drop rate is, i have done it 18 times. I have got 8 malestrom weapons... only 1 is not defending and 6 of those weapons are ALL resto staffs.
Another point that needs to be brought up is that malestrom is a gold sink... Spending money on pots,tri pots,food and gear. All this struff for one arena. i never had this problem in DSA i never had spend 20k on tri potions just so i can do about 2 runs before i used my potions up. Compare is to DSA during its first month out.. you could sell all gear you obtained and alot it was rougly useful from the healer set to the footman. So you had chance at the end of the arena to gain more money or make up what you lost. in Malestrom no... you get nothing, you win pretty much nothing!.
I end it here because i dont want to waste the readers time. I Like malestrom i think its great.. thou it needs huge tweaking from rng, to loot and the gold sink. I dont find that enjoyable anymore. i dont want to go in there once a day to get another helm of *** glory.... i actually have every damn armor and jewl peice of that set .. FML.

- Boost malestrom drop rate
- Remove BoP from malestrom
- Fix the RnG BS
- NO MORE *** GLORY PEICES!
