...with the following caveat: You can only loot stones up to the value of those you are carrying.
Currently, nearly every time I go to try and farm some stones, I am seeing AD or EP down the sewers. Usually close enough so they can run/bolt escape back to the safety of the ladders when/if it all goes wrong.
to make farming worthwhile, I usually leave with 1k stones, if no enemy players around I keep going back to bank the next K I collect, and go back out with 1K for the x3 rate.
However, usually, way more often than not, there's someone around hiding in the shadows waiting for me to be low on resources fighting mobs, at that point they'll jump me for my stones, having a good ol' merry laff if they get the drop on me. At which point they invariably go back, bank stones, and come around for round 2.
So now I'm ready, depending on how I'm feeling I may drop off remaining stones or carry less, my grinding however is reduced to practically nil, I'll wait around a bit, see them jump on another unsuspecting player and this time gank them when they're outta resources. Get a kill, yep, get zero stones.
This is not a QQ or wanting me to not risk losing stones I'm carrying, I have no problem getting ganked, most of the time I'll win and can accept the times I lose. What really gets my goat is that these ladder-huggers can risk absolutely nothing yet still get 80% of whatever I'm risking.
I'd much rather lose 100% but know I have the chance to get my pockets full when I give a ganker what for, or that he can't rob me unless he's actually taking a risk himself, the current system doesn't just lose me stones, it slows down the stone farming/grinding to the point I may as well pack it in and go do summat else.
