I don't see an option requesting to let us dye costumes at a dye station. It's not an absurd thought to give that option at dye station to dye cosmetics, hell most games have a tab for cosmetics, why not ESO?

It's not there as an option because ZOS has already said they have NO plans to let us dye costumes. Which is insane of course because costume sales would skyrocket if they did this. But apparently the money to be had is not worth the trouble it would take them to figure out how to do this.

I would dearly love for this costume to be black where it is currently purple and silver where it is currently gold. Alternatively, I'd love for it to be red where it is currently purple and black where it is currently gray. Silver or gold either would be fine with this combo.

For one there is the technical issue... with costumes not items, but in collections, it may not be that easy to add dye options.

If they don't let people dye costumes, they can also sell palette swapped versions for more profit...

Not like I care.

I'll get those costumes I like for RP purposes anyhow...

Exactly! That has been the main problem with almost ALL of their female costume offerings so far. They SCREAM "cheap Ren Faire knockoff" and I'm just like, "WHYYYYYY????"

I really want to be able to dye the costumes as I buy them, but never slot them as there are 101 others running about in the same outfit - at least f we could recolour it would make it feel a bit more special

The bare shoulders and the little ruffle edging everything on this really grates on my nerves as well. I don't expect clothign in Tamriel to conform to historical Earth clothing...indeed I'd prefer to see costumes that actually HARMONIZE with all the wonderful cultural light armor styles in the game. Instead we get jarring badly designed Ren Faire wear and I keep wondering if the same people who are designing this stuff have EVER looked at what is in the game already.

Sorry but I can't help but smile reading your posts about this. Not in a bad way you understand, I can see you are very passionate about it. I mean it really, really bothers you.

I guess colour preference does ultimately depend on taste. But seeing as you have experience in clothing in RL I suppose you know more about design principles than most.

i prefer to see 3 different colours of every outfit, similar to the clothing found in "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" as this outfit is clearly inspired but the robes the emperer urial septim wore

I do like the colors but I wouldn't see no harm in an option to choose 2-3 other color combinations on costumes like that.

I hate this color combination and it's what is keeping me from buying this costume.

I would buy many more outfits if we could dye them, or even if they were available in a few different colour schemes.

As it is now I've only got 1 and won't be getting more any time soon because none of the others suit my characters.

I probs won't buy it as I spend my Crowns on pets and very, very occasionally a mount, but if we could add dyes to Costumes then that'd be a big reason for me to actually go out and get achievements, as normally I just wear disguises instead of flaunting my armour.

I won't buy it, but my partner probably will. It's a nice colour in our opinion but that's probably biased since purple is my favourite colour and red is hers.

Heck, I might even buy it myself. No harm in a bit of dressing up!

For real though I'd welcome any kind of extra customizing. This is an mmo afterall. We all wanna be unique.

As for the question at hand... of course I would much prefer (and i think most would) the ability to dye. But seeing as that's probably not in the cards for us, meh. I mean, I'll most likely get it.. but mostly out of a lack of options. I would prefer NO gold at all on it and Im not the biggest fan of purple, especially when combined with red.

I'd rather a little work be done and be put into giving each costume the feature to be dye'd. That way we all are not wearing the same color of costume for some individuality.

LOL Well while I DO have opinions about mechanics and classes those are routinely addressed by players far more knowledgeable and better at explaining their position than I. So that leaves me as the Vampire Spokesperson and passionate advocator of BETTER fluff!

The thing is, these kinds of things, while "little" in the grander scheme of the game, often end up being the "make or break" things for a sizable portion of players. A game can have the best combat mechanics ever designed but if I end up hating how my character looks and I'm given no options to change it that make me happy, you can bet I'll be moving on to the next new game that comes along that maybe DOES give me those options. Now maybe ZOS could care less about my pittance of sub money they get every month compared to the huge outlay of cash I initially gave them for this game (FIVE Imperial editions, and YOU'RE WELCOME ZOS!) but a tiny optimistic part of me HOPES they actually care about player retention. I WANT to keep giving them my money. IF they put what I want in that darned Crown Store I'll even give them over and ABOVE my sub money. I'm just not sure why they seem so reluctant to TAKE MAH MONEYS! LOL

Yes to color changing a costume and while there at it make it to were the werewolf fur color can be black for the beserker morph like it's suppose to be

LoL at this biased thread, "that's whats keeping me from buying" . I don't want to buy them period lol.
I will only purchase costumes when we can get some decent ones. I don't want to be a nice outfit murderer i want to be a creature with all kinds of effects and epic looking stuff, this stuff looks like it came out of Second Life not Elder Scrolls. Why can't i have some costume like the Headless Horseman, Pirate Zombie, Soul Shriven Werewolf, Vampire Lord and so on. That's what i want to see.
