Solo arena

I'm still new to the game and tried to do the solo arena when it first came out and couldn't make it past the 5th boss. how many bosses are there and are the rewards worth the deaths it would take me to beat it?

There are 9 bosses and the rewards can be worth it.

Good luck with rng!!!! I completed vmsa 3 times in a row trying to get a certain set I want to try, ONLY to get NO set items in all three runs. GL, enjoy the horrible RNG, you will leave there thinking "if I wanted to get decon gear I could collect it faster on trash in IC or orsinium"

For skilled players with high CPs it takes between 8-15 hours in Maelstrom to learn the encounters and beat them for the first time. After that it becomes much easier and by the time you beat it 3-4 times you'll find it is far less difficult and somewhat more enjoyable.

That said, be prepared to run it many many times if you ever hope to complete an entire set with attributes you desire...yet alone the weapon you want in the trait you need.

"Somewhat" is the key word here. No less frustrating though.

Thanks for the info. I think ill wait till I get vet 16 then start farming it. it would be a waste of time to farm for hours and then replace the gear in a few levels. thanks guys.

I would try the normal mode. It is exceedingly easy and can teach you the basic machanics and the mobs for each encounter. Plus the experience isn't terrible and if you don't have any good high level sets yet the v15 sets aren't bad. Normal mode probably wouldn't be too boring for a lower level character.

My level VR5 Magicka Sorc with full purple gear isn't finding the normal arena "exceedingly easy", but then I only have 50 or so CP to date. It is doable, but I wouldn't say it was that easy.

I been playing a little over a month and have vet 6 sorcerer and vet 9 Templar. I don't know what setting it was on the first day it came out I only had my sorcerer and she was vet 1. the one I couldn't get past was the one with the giant construct and a bunch of spiders. the spiders would surround me and I couldn't move out of the red lol. I'm sure my temp could compleat it but only a week from vet 16 I might as well wait.

Sorry my context wasn't clear. Exceedingly easy is relative to a gear V16. For lower level chars I'm sure it will provide some measure of challenge.

You get twice as much of it also with 1/4 of the repair costs!
