Accidental Deconstructs ...

Ok i wish Zenimax would make it so the armour you've stored in the bank didn't appear when you at a skilling station .. i just bloody deconned my engine guardian shoulders by mistake .... im sick of this not the first time i've done it , either make a undo option or have a toggle on off to show stuff in the bank and inventory!!!

Yea, really no reason to have armor in bank show up in crafting windows. The decision to do that was silly.

I'd prefere some sort of 'toggle' thing personally. Accidental decon sucks, but saves a trip to the bank to set off research

That really sucks, I feel for youan. I've done that a few times
I just decon'ed anot infernal shoulder. I didn't have any immediate plans to use ot, but was thinking of combining it with morkuldin set. Forgot to put it on my mule to ensure this didn't happen oh well. I get that pc has an add on, but relying on 3rd party ppl to make qol improvements zos should have done themselves is really lazy, and then for CS to just say, "sucks to be you," is just bad policy.

It depends on the customer support rep you get. Some say they can, some say they can't. I know that the first time I deconned something, they got it back for me but said it was a 1-time dealio.

But the thing is they make it SO difficult to get these items , and even when u do get them they have a BS trait , and they make it so easy to decon it , no warning message or anything - really bugs me !!

You're telling me you can call CS and they will give items back? I'm actually shocked at that. That you can call a real person about a mistake you made in the game and they will rewind time for you? xD That's like calling up and saying "I broke a lock pick, can I have it back please?" and they just do it lol

There was a really old thread about this. In there it was suggested that you create an alt "bank" where you keep such items.

Now as its bound that wont work for those items (right?) But still could help someone.

I wouldn't mind an "undo" option (same with buying from vendors, why aren't glyphs in order of power?)

On topic, I have deconstructed things accidentally that I really needed before. But I just had to sigh and move on. Since then I've just been extra careful and try to not spam press while doing it

Its ok! I was more trying to be funny I suppose. But yeah forums/text chat is not the best sometimes as tones and emphasis are lost

Most games have an "item locking" toggle to prevent this. I'm still baffled how they didn't think to include this. With the combination of RNG + BoP + guild traders it could take you years to replace an item. Yes you can get addons for PC, but a lot of players are on other platforms.

I did it too until I realized what I was doing! It took me a minute,but I had lost a couple of things by accident.
