Group invite - can not invite players from other alliances - STILL BUGGED

Hallo ZOS, I have read in the patch notes, that that bug, that I am not able to invite to a group people from an another alliance (not using group finder tool), but normally clicking at player in chat and invite him/her.


It is still showing the message, can not invite players from another alliance!! Was this not supposed to be fixed in the latest patch?

They want to achieve this sometime soon, but so far it is only random queue that will match you with opposing factions.

No, I don`t mean using the group finder tool.

But inviting people, from chat for example. Is it possible to group with people from different alliances? for dailies for example. Is it possible to invite to group people from other alliances? Or not?

That is not possible at the moment. They are working on it, but it is a bit more complicated that just tweaking the group finder, I think.

The problem with just clicking on names in Guild or Contact list is that the game has no idea what you want to do.

I think essentially, they should implement this via the group finder so that you go to the group finder and say "I want to run this dungeon in this mode" and then it lets you invite people from your contacts/guilds before you tell it to search for other players (if necessary).

Now, as an aside, for the non-dailies, it's fairly easy to get a group of friends together because not many people will be using the finder for those. Just get your group together and then have everybody queue for the dungeon at the same time. If it's not the daily, you should be able to get your guildies/friends in the group easily.

the reason why it is so complex is has anyone noticed what they do to your character to get you to be able to group up? they change your faction while you are in said dungeon you can see how this would be hard for non instanced areas.

This is not possible and has not been implemented.

hmm, so then I am wrong and the patch notes were talking about the group finder tool, ok then...

cross faction grouping will only work with the group finder tool nothing else. so you can't manually select a person you want to team up with if you want to group cross faction.
