A way to make the PVE portion of Cyrodiil more bearable without impacting PVP too much

Pve customers would be far better off avoiding the content completely and let it die, let it fade into the sunset like The Divisions Dark Zone content did..

Just stay away pvers, you will be less frustrated and hopefully the content will get removed over time.

This is the most sound advice in this thread thus far for sensitive PvE'ers that want nothing more than to hate on PvP because they don't like it & have nothing more to their arguments than this (spoiler, that's most of you).

Would y'all be willing to accept -- for the PVP-Disabled Cyrodiil lots of posters are asking for -- the existence of a new random, rotating but temporary PVP-enabled overland zone? So for example, once a month for a week Deshaan in its entirety is suddenly PVP-Enabled, but during that time Cyrodiil/IC are mobs only?

No because deshaan wasn't set up for PvP. There are no real choke points nor objectives that create a field of battle. It would simply be a bunch of gankers lurking around hoping beyond hope that they eventually stumble across a player to do battle with. And again having PvE content in a PvP zone and having gear gained through PvE be desirable in PvP is good for the game. That type of cross play helps keep the game going over the long haul.

    Exactly my point.

And nobody thinks there's anything wrong with that sentiment -- until they start asking to remove what other people like because of this sentiment. Those people are crybabies. Period.

PvE players rarely set foot in Cyrodiil, IC, and Battlegrounds because they despise PvP. You clearly haven't been paying attention.

Then how about you just never go there that way we wouldn't have to read the drivel you people keep polluting these forums with. If you people put half the effort you spend crying and whining on these forums into trying to improve in pvp you'd actually be ok, I guess it's easier to throw tantrums and demand to be catered to than making any sort of change yourself (yet you somehow have the nerve to call PvPers entitled when virtually the entirety of the game is catered to you).

Yup QFT. The amount of time complaining over nothing in this thread these people could've completed all the content they think is out of their reach twice by now w/o any PvP.

The master items are from vDSA though, which is a 4 man. Never done it myself, but I've heard it's pretty easy, albeit time consuming. A random group of 4 experienced pvpers could complete it no problem.

As a who dude who's been GM of a 450+ player trials guild as well as several PvP guilds, it was I this point in your post that I knew you have no idea what you're talking about & maybe shouldn't post nonsense you don't understand. vMA vAS & vDSA are 100% PvE oriented & require extreme PvE competence to complete (aka I wouldn't take any of you in here to complete it who are too shy to just equip a diff set of gear for a different activity); PvP sets & skills are useless in there. Taking pure PvP'ers in those instances is a huge handicap. Their rewards however - are 100% PvP oriented. Fancy that.

You can run PvE in ANY gear and succeed for the most part in normal mode (and most vanilla veteran dungeons / some trials), but you MUST wear PvP gear to succeed in PvP.

If you want to PvE you must prepare for PvE, if you want to PvP you must gear for PvP & there's nothing wrong at all with that; HOWEVER, you can do all the PvE content in Cyro & IC bareass naked (I even have a video for 'bareass naked': there are PvP'ers enjoying themselves in
this clip so trigger warning if you consider anyone who likes PvP to be 'toxic' LOL)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KKWvOX7maY

Yup even bareass naked if you wanted to so long as you avoid players.Which is not true of PvE. But if you do encounter a player, its better to have PvP gear but not doing so will not prevent you from completing any of this if y'all can reconcile the fact that some dude you don't know might kill your imaginary character in an online video game - with no consequences in game whatsoever. I know my babies, its tough tough world out there, but we'll get you through this.

P.S. ARE ALL THE CIRCLES SQUARES YET? I HATE CIRCLES AND EVERYONE WHO ENJOYS CIRCLES SHOULD FEEL BAD & BE PUNISHED.

    Hello everyone,

Recently we've had to remove a few posts for baiting and flaming, both being against the Forum Rules. For further posts please be sure to stay constructive and respectful to avoid action on one's own account.

    Thank you for understanding.

Wish people could be respectful, but apparently every time a good suggestion is made for this, the PvP masterrace has to come and flame on everyone why PvP is a godsend while being so closed minded to those with actually decent, factual, and helpful suggestions to the OP’s message and Cyrodiil itself.

Why exactly does Cyrodiil need to be PvE only exactly? You're kinda high-horsing everyone for no reason because you feel you deserve something that you don't.

It's PvE in a PvP zone. Get over it. Plenty of other people did and finished their stuff

Did I say PvE only? No, so stop shoving false words into people’s mouths.

"It’s PvE in a PvP zone"
You don’t think that I get that? That thousands of others get that? I know that Zos intended it to be like that but honestly it was a poor effort to mix both in this space without the choice to do PvP or PvE without the other interfering.

PvP is extremely boring to me, and since I already have the achievement for killing daddy Bal down in the sewers, I’m never going back. All I have to do is wait for a Soul-Shriven skin to be sold.

Where do you get the idea that PvP shouldn't interfere with PvE? It wasn't a "poor effort", it was conscious design. You stepped into a warzone to help little miss sunshine NPC gather apples... but you are still in the same warzone, if you want to complete those quest you can figure out how to navigate the warzone and avoid fights, or defend yourself when u end up in a fight. If you don't want to do the content simply don't do it. That is called player choice.

As for "suggestion" like these, you aren't giving them to improve the game as a whole, you simply want the game to cater to your individual whims. The reason most PvPers, and likely most players in general, don't respect posts like this is because they boil down to you feeling entitled to have things made easier for you for no other reason than "I don't like it." You can like or dislike whatever you want, that doesn't mean they should change content because you can't be bothered to actually do the work necessary to complete it.

It'll never happen. It would require ZOS,to change the fundamental design of ESO.

I don't know if I'm reading a different thread from everyone else or what, but...

How I translated the OP's post wasn't that they wanted to turn OFF PVP in the zones, but rather pause the campaigns in the zones, essentially "freezing" the keeps/resources and holding them as owned by whichever factions had them at the end of the campaign period.

That would then allow for easier respawns for those people specifically hunting the skyshards or delves or whatever, but who are not interested in the campaigns themselves.

I want to say that WoW had a zone like this? Where PVP was fought but that in between matches there were some downtimes -- I want to say I remember specifically because I would wait for those downtimes to zone in to fish. During those times, PVP was still very much active, it was the objectives that were sort of halted.

Please note: I am not a PVPer, and I wasn't one in Warcraft either, so I may not have the above exactly correct. I hope someone with more knowledge will correct it for me.

But let me reiterate again: I think the question wasn't to stop PVP in the zone; that would absolutely continue, people would remain flagged and killable -- it was a pause to the campaign, freezing keeps/resources as they were by who owned what at the end of the matches.

In a way, this may make things more competitive, as factions would want to push to hold as much as they could before the three-day/one-day pauses to make things easier for their factions/harder for others.

Maxed CPs, still no clue how to endgame, too much time opening urns, prolly.

So long as during those pauses I can PvP in overland at those times, you can have your 'kids swim' in Cry-o-diil days. The PvP'ers gotta have somewhere to PvP my dudes. But I'll tell you right now, you PvE'ers don't want this. Oh no

Leave as is, its core to the design and arguing otherwise is nonsense so quit the nonsense.

Unless of course by nonsense you mean GETTING RID OF ALL THE DAMN CIRCLES.

    Hello everyone,

This post is to let you know that we've gone ahead and closed this thread. The reason being that it seems to have devolved into unneeded back and forth between users who prefer PvE and users that prefer PvP. Please leave the fighting in Tamriel, whether it be against enemy factions or monstrous beings hiding deep in dungeons. Fighting here will only lead to action on one's own account.

    Thank you for understanding.
